Well... Gotta say this is a hell of a way to start off the morning. So apparently I don't exist.
Well I would rather begin the day with a "Good Morning!" and "How are you today?" But sure! Lets go about discussing as to how my beloved sign is a manifestation of male bravado.
If the creation of Libra was to curb the process of self enlightenment then I have to say that the Romans must had one too many goblets of Mulsum when they made Libra. Diplomacy and negotiation exist because of higher enlightened thinking that seeks to protect the destitute, the deprived and those who don't have the required numbers to protect their own selves. I value my sign BECAUSE it looks beyond the natural order; And gives those who don't have the physical strength to speak for their rights.
So hooray for Libra!
Besides, IMO Libra is gravely misrepresented when it comes to its ruling planet. I do agree that the idea of duality (may it be the sexes, the balancing act of light and darkness, the higher purpose in life coupled with basic nature) is obviously present within the Libra Archetype; Which is why IMO, Venus is not the best representative of Libra. The goddess Venus (Aphrodite) best represents Taurus and its Earthly sensuality.
I am convinced that the goddess Athena best represents Libra and its higher Ideal. Athena herself embodied the best traits of both sexes.
