Anyone have personal experience with this? I'm curious as to how it is when it's her Mars, too.

I have it exactly.

Most of the time, I hear it's intensely sexual but also very obsessive and potentially violent. Has that proved to be the case for you guys?

Well, I have that with my Dad. Exact. On his SN as well. Conjunct my MC.
My Mum`s Saturn is there as well.

Anyway, all I can say about this - and it s different as it is a parental situation- is that I have never experienced any kind of violence or suppression or whatever meaning is usually attached to it.
In fact my Dad has always been very constructively supportive of me (It is in Libra btw.

On the other hand I once met a performer, I had this one with, too. Exact conjunction of his Mars to my Pluto. His Venus conj. my Venus. his Eros exact conjunct my Venus, too. his Venus square my Pluto. His Mars square my Venus.

He was gay. However, from my perspective the energy generated was too much to bear (always felt like I had to giggle when sitting too close to stage or getting up and runnin away, just to relieve the tension).
He on the other hand sometimes looked at me so ****** off. Like my mere existence angered him to no end.
I suppose the energy must be channelled somehow.

In the case of my Dad and me it could be channelled into building things togeter, or him supporting me in very pragmatic terms (he is pretty much repairing everything in my appartment, and I don`t have the heart to tell him I could do some things on my own, cause in a way it probably validates him as a father, or something like that).

In the case with the gay performer there was no way to channel that energy, so I suppose, since sexual attraction was out of the question, it tilts to the other symbolism of Mars.

We were both completely obsessed with eachother. Dropped all our friends. Driving hours, or taking the cab or train for even longer hours just to see eachother for a day. We were in the military so there were periods of being apart for a long time and that was terrible. Physically hurt every day. So obsessed with eachother that anything that made it seem like the other was not completely ours, the other person would go insane. Matching tattoos.

And ah yes. The violence. Our obsession with eachother destroyed us. Any perceived hurt or betrayal became a huge fight and a huge scene. We were that couple that would be screaming at eachother in public. Grabbing things from the store shelves to throw in anger or at eachother. It got very violent. He's hurt me. I've hurt him. Somehow fighting brought us closer. And nobody understood.

I'm glad its over. It ended because he's hurt me too much. I just stopped feeling the same. Also, we both have a history of violence and childhood trauma, so this is only my story. Not to be used as an example for all couples with this aspect.

I am curious. Was this Pluto conjunct Mars synastry opposed by your natal chiron? That's a generational aspect for many people. If not was there some natal planet squaring or opposing this conjunction?

Forgive the delays, as I was grokking all that's been said.

I agree, Ceri, that if there's no outlet - whether it's building stuff, or exerting some kind of physical force, as in the case with your father, or the gay actor with whom you were acquainted - things can just become a whole lot of MARS in a bad way. I can see that occurring if we're not careful. Or lose our politeness.

Squares? Oh, yes. Our DEJA-NESSUS conjunction squares it, along with my AMOR. His MOON-EROS-NYMPHE-BML and my PRIAPUS oppose it.

I'm not sure why we're not all Wuthering Heights on each other. I suppose we're too 'civilised'. Whatever that means. We're both very polite, sophisticated, mannered types.

It always surprises me when I hear of so much impassioned violence. Or, I suppose, violent passion.

I've posted about this so many times.. I'll try to find links to a couple of other threads.
His Mars - My Pluto conj at 6 deg Scorpio.
In a nutshell - there is so much affection between us that I can't see this as either aggressive or obsessive in a negative sense.
But as always - the rest of the synastry can change the way aspects play out.
We've always been close and we have a lot in common on all levels - emotionally, mentally and sexually.

Lisa Nowak, the female astronaut who drove for 6 hours straight with pampers in her panties so that she wont have to stop for peeing and waste time in order to reach Tampa asap and kidnap her lover's fiancé, had her Pluto and Juno in a tight conjunction with the man's Mars. Obsession example at its best.

Orange - I'm not sure what else was going on in their syn or in her natal chart .. or maybe she has a psychological disorder. This aspect is not enough to explain that, because Pluto is generational.
Other than the man I mentioned,I also have an exact conjunction with a guy who I virtually grew up with who was basically like a brother and with a third guy who was born a few days before him. I never felt obsessed.

But it's true that it was never unrequited. Maybe if I was in a situation where I felt unloved or betrayed I would react in a more obsessive way.. I'm not sure what to say about that. All these guys like me and two of them love me so I never really had reasons to become obsessive.

They are all Leos though which is compatible with my Sun in Aries.

:edit: I looked up Lisa Nowak's chart and their syn out of curiosity - but the conjunction has a 2 degree orb.. so it's not exact. For slow-moving Pluto - 2 deg is not extremely close. It would still be felt.. I just wouldn't consider it extra close. The ones I mentioned had their Mars exactly on the same degree as my Pluto.
He also has Mars/Uranus/Pluto conj in natal, in Virgo (so her Pluto is thrown into that mix) - and this is opposite his Saturn (which is conj her own Chiron, in Pisces)... and possibly also square her Moon in Sag :\

In my synastry with the guy I mentioned in my first post.. we have Mars conj Pluto in Scorpio... sextile my Mars conj Neptune in Cap.. trine my Jupiter in Pisces. It's a sweeter cocktail LoL
It really depends so much on the whole chart.

Sex got boring? I’ve read that with this aspect it doesn’t tend to get boring.
