I was thinking this configuration of the cardinal grand cross might be my soulmate coming back but I am unsure.

I have been having dreams about him returning

The rulers of my DSC will be retrograde at that time ( Pluto and co ruler Mars )
Mars is also the ruler of my Sun.

Trans Pluto rx 13 cap will be opposition my Saturn ( MC ruler) conjunct Transiting Jupiter ( ruler of NN) in Cancer.

Pluto will square Mars rx 13 Libra conjunct my Vertex with progressed Adonis and my natal Aphrodite. oposition transiting Uranus 13 Aries ( my 11th house ruler)which conjuncts my Ceres.

I just don't understand how the planets being square are going to interact with each other.

The transiting sun will be conjunct my ASC. Also transiting Venus will conjunct my progressed Mars in Pisces.

following the Grand cross a few days later there will be a Solar Eclipse on my Venus at 8 degrees Taurus ( my ASC ruler) and my progressed Sun is at 13 Taurus.

I was thinking it might be him returning but I don't understand the interaction between the planets especially with them being square and retrograde. I know that retrograde brings things back from the past.
it is the squares that are throwing me off.

transiting Pluto will conjunct Nunki The archers bow ( lending strength)

transiting Uranus will conjunct Alpheratz

My progressed Sun/ moon midpoint will be exact conjunct my natal sun.

There are no transits to my sun but I was wondering since mars is rx and the ruler of my sun also in the cross with the other planets would that be felt ?

Retograde means that issues from the past are resurfacing. Could be an old lover coming back or just issues concerning relationship patterns from the past coming up again, maybe old feelings, that need to be reassessed and evaluated (very true for me).

It does not necessarily mean that your soulmate will come back to you.
I mean let`s be a ltitle realistic, how long have you been waiting for him now?
A few years, right?
I donīt think it is very likely it will be him (Though of course nothing can ever be excluded totaly).
I think it tells you that it is time to reevaluate your own relationship patterns and hat you want and need, some sort of evaluation before moving on and manifesting them in real life.
And since these are squares, they might nudge you gently at first, but if you donīt react, the gentle nudges might become quite dynamic pokes and shoves, and might push you where you need to go for your personal development, no matter if you like this or not.

What i think however on a general level, thsi cardinal cross means, especially for us who are affected by natal or progressed planets (I am in there as well with pr ASC on 10 Cap), that there will be no going back anymore after this.
Once Venus turns direct again, the doors to the past will be closed and there is only one way, and it is the way forwards into the future, into the unknown.

I have been having dreams about him coming back to me and so has my daughter. I had a dream about him where he was holding a wedding band in his hand and thinking about me there was a voice coming from another place that said why would you put yourself through all of this for her? Why would you go back ? And he replied because I love her.

On the other hand it is not really a surprise you dreamed of him. After all he has been on your mind all the time.
