I punched an Aries male several times in the face once...my cousin. He just laughed as I did it (which is why I kept hitting), though of course he blocked.He'd managed to scratch build some dynamite (the farm had things that could be used to get rid of things like tree stumps) and he called me over to "show me something." He turned away for a moment, I thought he'd lit a cigarette (17 at the time but already a smoker), and then he said, "Here." I instinctively took what he handed me to realize it was dynamite with a burning fuse as he took off running. I shrieked and threw it as far as I could, it exploded with a HUGE bang as I was running away. And in an explosion of adrenaline I took off after him, caught him as he was opening the door to get inside, tripped him as he fell laughing too hard to defend himself (more than one boy back then told me the expressions of surprised outrage I made over their boyish pranks was hilarious) and took to landing blows on him focusing on his laughing face. Lucky for him I was very small for my age (13, MAYBE early 14) so it wasn't as bad as it could've been to him before I got off him to storm off (and exhausted as my adrenaline cut out). Still, my Aries Granny asked him what happened to his face when he finally showed up at supper and he cringed knowing how she'd take it. I explained it (he later said only fear of our granny kept him from laughing again as I was still so outraged by it) and Granny said I'd saved her the trouble. (Guess Aries knows how to discipline another Aries the best as she was the only authority he fully respected, at least when she was present. ) But no hard feelings for long (he never had any, he knew he deserved worse than he got but figured the laugh was worth it), and we still laugh about it to this day, nearly 20 years later. Ah, to be young, stupid, and no real impulse control. We had all sorts of misadventures together back then but I never doubted he loved me...though even back then I was bemused by his saying things like, "No one torments you but me." IP: Logged |
