Who here offends people by accident? It's really quite annoying. I don't intend to hurt people by what I say, but it usually happens. I don't beat around the bush, and if you live a life of lies and secrets I'll call you out, intimidate you, then leave and move on with my life happily. Most people can't handle the truth. I like Sag Merc. My Mercury is in Pisces square my Uranus in Sagittarius. I wouldn't say they are that blunt... not to a point of being nasty or cruel. I've had more issues with Aries Mercury on that front. IP: Logged |

Me -_- but I try not to but some get offended anyway. I find myself watching what I say around over sensitive folks or people who are dominated by water/Neptune and not enough fire cause I have this walking on eggshell feeling around them. ------------------

I think about everyone. It's all too easy to offend people, all you have to to do is disagree on any little thing and they'll think you hold them in contempt or something (this is true even if you don't know you disagreed with them on something, they get defensive anyway). Or they'll be afraid or disturbed. And plenty see a personal attack where none is intended. I wish I could get my Dad's birth info. He's a Sag but I'm betting he has a Scorpio merc because he's not "plainly speaking" like a Sag but rather caustically sarcastic (and an ability to stay silent about some things once he sets his mind to do so). He doesn't really hurt my feelings, if anything the very few times he's directed his acid tongue to me was perversely nice as at least then I knew I mattered to him, otherwise he wouldn't have cared enough to try to hurt me. I know a few of them. They're so impulsive and genuine about what they say that there are definitely times when they don't even measure the words they use because of the eagerness of putting their thoughts out all at once and as quickly as possible, as if there's any sort of "communication race" going on. But I actually get along quite well with them and over the years I've been finding that Mercury in Saggittarius people are ones with whom I can establish strong relationships with, there's a natural mutual understanding and it's a very fun connection too... Maybe because their Mercury falls in my 1st and I also have Mercury in a fire sign.

I try to listen more than I talk! It's taken me a long time to realize my saggy mercury means I need to keep my mouth shut and ears open! If not it's my foot that will be in my mouth and it won't be long before everyone will close their ears to me!

I have a sag mercury and most of my planets in sag and I tend to be very passionate when I speak with a lot of dramatic hand gestures! I am not too blunt with the people I meet, I am very considerate of their feelings. But I like to joke a lot and am very sarcastic so I always somehow unintentionally hurt other peoples feelings and come across as too straight forward. Its usually water signs that I have a hard time communicating with. I feel like everything I say or joke about upsets them so I always just close my mouth and agree with their opinions. IP: Logged |

I love this placement. I have a Mercury in Aquarius, so I definitely appreciate the candor and straight-forward approach to everything and don't take things too personally. These people won't lie and tell you your hair looks great if it doesn't, and so on and so forth.I also love how adventurous their minds are. I know two Mercury in Sagittarius people (ones my best friend), and they have knowledge in so many subjecs it amazes me. They'll discuss anything. This.  How can one be sure that their truth is the true truth? There is only one truth, but our perception is subjective. A Sag can be too fixed in its own truth, just like a Gemini, its opposite, can be too receptive of any truth. My husband is a Sag Mercury, and while he is honest and not afraid of saying things, sometimes he lacks the empathy or don't really understand things from other people's perspective.
But I gotta love his (sometimes mean) sense of humor, and his capacity to understand and know how things are/works. IP: Logged |

They won't lie, that's certainly true... But they'll often exaggerate in the things they say. One friend of mine, jeez... She does make a point to get a shocking/surprising/whatever strong emotion there is out of you when she's talking about gossip, for example. And when there's a new information of some sorts to give to people, she is quite forceful in the way she tries to be the first one to say it, lol! It doesn't bother me that much honestly, but I get why some people would get annoyed by them, lol...

Im surprised she gets into gossip!
Well I guess I've seen saggys go both ways, some love it and others hate it!
Personally, can't stand gossip. I don't want to hear it or know about it if it's not something that personally affects me. Even people talking about me, I don't care or want to know because I know what's true and what's not and that's all that matters to me.
Gossip feels like a waste of time and energy trying to stay optimistic while your engaging in things that tear yourself and others down.
But my mercury is saggy@3.34, sun saggy@4.38 and Saturn leo@2.50....Saturn always add maturity/responsibility to anything it touches so that might be why I don't want to be part of gossip, I don't see any value or any point in it. IP: Logged |

I think Sags who exaggerate do so for comedic effect or as a game to see if you can catch them (and may tell others how gullible you are if you keep falling for it). Lol Idk there is hardly anything intimidating about me or my communication style. I find that my thoughts constantly jump from one topic to another, sometimes it makes me wonder if I'm schizophrenic lol. Ever since my progressed mercury moved to Capricorn, I've gained better control and my thoughts has calmed down a bit. quote:

It all depends on how you deliver things.You can be as blunt as you want if you are charming as hell or at least you don't make it seem like you are doing it with bad intentions. I've been blunt with people and said some outrageous things to them about how I view them, but if anything they seem more amused by it than offended most of the time. Of course, there are some lines you should never cross. And I naturally tend to stay away from oversensitive people. I find them annoying. IP: Logged |

Mercury in sag usually does know the truest most generally accepted truth actually. That's the problem though, everyone wants to buy a fairy tale. That's why mercury I. Sag does wellin marketing. Because they learn how to lie without lactually doing it since they have to in the process of adapting to story book time.IP: Logged |

I have mercury in Sag. I've learned how to be more diplomatic in my speech. I used to offend people ALL the time until I decided I'd best listen before spouting off. I found a great career where my merc. in Sag. best fits. what is the best placement in Synastry for a merc in Sag? So far I love communicating best with Merc in Gem and Aqua moon. I know this one merc in sag who told a merc in aries that his music would never appeal to the mainstream. The song was about a planetary man who came down from outer space to teach the people about psychedellics and it was 8 minutes long on accoustic guitar.After the song the merc in sag said, "That song is great, and could sell to certain types of people, but not to the masses." Was the merc in sag wrong? Was it his truth? No...it was THE TRUTH, but was it kind of blunt? Well yeah...the Aries merc person was sorely offended and paralyzed for the rest of the night. Mercury in Sag to me is---------blunt,will say whatever comes into their heads,has foot in mouth disease sometimes worse that Sun in Sag,can insult and offend people without being aware of it,rambles on and on,will not shut up,will not take a stand,contradicts themselves--
