Anyone have any experiences with this?

I have Sag Merc and Juno conjunct his Neptune and SN with this Gemini moon guy I'm kind of into (although dating has become more than a joke lately so I have no real expectations, just curious about the synastry). But I will say I was instantly comfortable around him and it feels like we actually have known each other for much longer than we have. My Asc is conjunct his IC too which is nice...

I've been reading Mercury-Neptune can create a dreamy, otherworldly connection... but can also indicate deception or outright lying (on Neptune's part?). Not that it's always that dramatic, maybe there are just misunderstandings and Neptune acts more evasive when Mercury wants clear answers and communication? Although his mars also squares my Neptune, so just trying to understand the dynamics and would appreciate thoughts!

I would be wary of square and opposition, and to a lesser extent of conjunctions.

Can I ask who do you think is usually more "deceptive" with the hard aspects? I would assume Neptune?

I'm not too concerned about the conjunction, just curious though since we also have mars square Neptune...

I have this with my boyfriend, and he is the neptune.
I also have it in my natal chart as the strongest placement.

But if he was lying to me I would never know:P I haven't exactly lied to him, but I have "avoided" telling the truth sometimes

But I think the neptune-mercury is definitely about lying… I know because I have it in my natal chart and I can sometimes also lie to myself and to others, just because it's easier than telling the truth…

Thanks for your response!!

I definitely get what you mean about "avoiding" the truth. Basically I want to see the best in him and want him to see the best in me even if that means glossing over details

Yup, thats exactly how neptune is working. You don't do this on purpose, and you probably just gloss over details because you can sense that the way he sees you isn't quiet realistic, but very idealistic instead, and you probably would like him to stay that way.
It's important that you stay clear though, cause otherwise the lies will be too much at some point, and he will get very disappointed with you. Remember that even by just glossing over details, you'll help him develop a fake picture of who you are. And he should love you for exactly who you are without avoiding the truth. But that is neptune.

I try to stay clear with my boyfriend, but I cannot force him to do the same. I just have to hope that there is no skeletons in the closet somewhere, at least I have exposed all mine to him, and he hasn't left me yet so I know they can handle the truth:P

Astrologers seem to agree that it is the Neptune that is more deceptive, but from what i have seen in charts, I think the deception can go either way.

Conjunction with my Twinflame. I'm the NEPTUNE. Curiously, he's the one who was deceptive as a regular means of self-preservation.

We're insanely telepathic, too.

Are you kidding me?

Another parallel then.

My Neptune is closely (under one degree) conjunct his Mercury (his 7th, 3rd and 4th house ruler).

His Neptune is loosely conjunct (5 degrees) my Mercury (my 7th and 9th ruler).

Neptune rules his 1st, and my 3rd.
