Okay so I've always felt waaaaaaaay more outgoing and optimistic than any Pisces Sun is "supposed" to be. I think this is because of my Sun's 9th house placement. Granted, there are some things about Sag Sun descriptions that don't suit me, either, but I definitely have the Saggy Vibe: Optimistic, opinionated, a bit flighty, occasionally too blunt, but always ME.

Now, that's not to say I don't identify with my Pisces Sun at all, because I do. I just have to dig out the bits and pieces that I recognize.

I remember a while ago somebody started a game of making a "new" birthchart by using the natural rulers of the houses your planets fall in IE: 9H Sun would be a Sag Sun in the new chart. I've been thinking about it a lot since then.

So what do you feel more? Your house or your sign?

It's a blend of house and sign. My Virgo qualities pop out at strange times. Ninth house is supposed to be a great place for the sun btw, better than the fifth. Sun is supposed to be super fortunate when placed here. So, look for a boost in all that's related to the sun.

I'd never heard that about the sun being fortunate in the 9th. Any idea why that is? Thanks for the info SSS

What house does your Virgo Sun fall in?

And yes, I know it's a blend of the two, house and sign. I'm just curious how much people feel one or the other. I'm not a very good example IMO because both my House and my Sun Sign are mutable. But what if the Sun were mutable and the House Cardinal? Or the other way around? Would the mutable sign give way to the characteristics of the cardinal house?

I feel my sun by sign placement, I really don't feel like a Libra at all.

My moon, I feel the aspects to it more than the sign or house placement. I've never related to the descriptions of the moon in libra.

For me, personally, it's a blending of both.I wasn't very clear about that :/

I read ninth is, traditionally, a very good place for the sun and if someone has it, they are considered fortunate. It's the house of Jupiter and this planet is considered lucky so fate shines on a person with their sun in such a house.

My sun is in the eleventh closely conjunct the cusp of twelve. It's a blending of both houses. So let's see, I have Virgo, eleventh and twelfth houses. Yep, these all fit

Jupiter is the traditional ruler of the sign pisces so I'm not surprised that you identify with Jupiter's attributes.

Where is your Jupiter found in your chart and what degree?

Sometimes my chart progresses forward a bit, and then it progresses back. So I know what it feels like to have my Sun and Moon to progress into new houses one day, and then go back the next. So that I can tell you that after experiencing my Scorpio moon had progressed into the 8th for a day and then went back into 9th I wasn't sure if I really had a Scorpio moon or a Sagitarious. So it is quite a blending I guess. Maybe the houses are more dominant than the solar signs? Who knows

My Aries Sun (and Tau Venus) are in the 11th - and I often catch myself saying Aquarius-type things.
Friendship is a lot more important to me than romantic love.

I feel my houseplacement, yes, but not in the way I feel my signplacement. Different pairs of shoes.

I am most definitely not an Aries-type at all, despite Sun, Mercury and venus in 1st house.

They say saggy sun is terrible with money, can't save, they just waste money and then are always borrowing from others. Saggy sun is not concerned with having a stable income and do not mind relying on others when they have spent all their own money!

That in no way describes me! But my saggy sun is in my 2nd house, I need to be financially independent and know nobody has to give me money....I can do it myself!
I would hate to borrow money! My brother is 3 years older than me and has moved back in with my mom so many times, I wouldn't dream of it! I'd live under a bridge with all my stuff before I'd ask for help! Lol
I've let both my mom and brother move in with me at times and supported them while they lived with me, I know that's kind of stupid but I'd prefer to be the person taking care of everyone than be the one with my hand out!
That's the blessing and curse of your sun falling in the Taurus ruled 2nd house!

Haha, this was another reason I was thinking of myself as a bad example, Jupiter being my Sun's co-ruler.

It falls in my 8th house @ 5'31" of Pisces.

I definitely feel a mix between the two..Taurus sun in 11th house. I do feel very Aquarian (sociable, outgoing, friendly) but having my Taurus sun as an Earth singleton brings out a lot of the Taurus in me so I definitely feel an even 50/50.

The Suns position is waaay too big to be overshadowed.

Pisces on the cusp of the 9th house suggests
a change of schedule, or other unforeseen circumstances that have to be dealt with.

You tend to have deeply felt convictions about your religious ideology, and may make some sacrifice when asked to do so. There is a tendency to be drawn to the mystical side of religion, or become involved with ceremonies or rituals.

Your psychic senses are very acute, and reach a depth that often brings about a religious conversion, or a religious experience.

Sun in the 9th house usually also makes one an expert in 9tth house affairs of education, long-distance travels, philosophy and religion.

But these issues will be tackled in a very "Piscean" way. In the instance of higher education, the person concerned may favour education on "holistic" healing and "energy vibration" than conventional medication methods of popping pills.

Also, the aspects that your Sun makes to other planets can add an influence. This is for the opposition, the square and the conjunction.

I personally have Sun in the 8th house. With the cusp of 8th house on Sagittarius, I tend to take things related to the 8th house(sexuality, death and rebirth, taboo issues) from a strongly philosophical perspective.

I ask question and explore these issues with emotional detachment, faith and a pinch of optimism(like there must be a "bigger" picture to it all etc). This is the nature of Sagittarius, not Scorpio.

Scorpio, by contarcst, tends to take things more seriously and is more "accepting" of the ebb and flow of life; no matter how "seedy" it can get. Scorpio makes no excuses about reality by concocting some idealistic explanation(with God therein).

The thing that may make us similar to them however will be the same thing that attracts them to me.

In my case, they'll be interested to know what insights I have to share and, on my side, I'd be interested in what alternative explanations they can offer.

But I'm not a Scorpio and have the Sun in Sagittarius. Even if I had a conjunction with Pluto in Sagittarius, it would make me obsessed with "Sagittarius" issues.

The "obsessive" quality in my personality may make me seem very Scorpion to others, but my innate nature will be a lot more optimistic and fiery than the waters of a Scorpio personality.

My understanding is that Sagittarius on the 2nd house cusp alone will express the traits of that particular sign energy i.e you'll likely to find that these people who have no planets on the 2nd house cusp of Sagittarius are easy going and generous when it comes to spending their income. They are unlikely to take issues related to money all that seriously. They will give their stuff away gladly and will not feel that personal security is all that important to them.

However, if there is a planet ,like the Sun there, this changes things a lot.

The Sun in this position suggest that security, values and money handling issues are pivotal themes in your life and form part of your self-definition.

Money matters and disposable income is something that you'll deal with your whole life and try to "master". The Sun here suggests that when it comes to 2nd house issues, you have more than a lions share(Sun) in experience and knowledge.

If you don't apply yourself to these themes and be conscious of your need for financial stability and tangible security(like my friend whom has Sun in 2nd doesn't) you may find yourself having to deal with a lot of money problems/issue with physical security.

You will often find that you complain of "not enough" or feeling that after the bills are paid and short term obligations are met, you don't have enough to live.

Sun in 2nd doesn't necessarily guarantee wealth or make one materialistic, but it does make issues related to stability, economic security and possessing what one values as a large part of their self-definition. Other people may even become very fearful of financial ruin and may even consider this their personal undoing.

I *definitely* feel the effects of the 9th House on me emotionally. I'm generally optimistic, broad-minded, philosophical, connected to God. It's a great balance to the Cancer in me!

As for my Sun in the 7th...I don't feel it as strongly. I do enjoy people but I don't "live" for them. And I do very strongly believe in BALANCE. Aside from that, 7th House does not control much of my personality.

It seems like the moon is well placed here too with Jupiter traditionally ruling and perhaps in the twelfth, too. I've only read about the sun feeling welcome here.

My sun is virgo and in 4th house. But I don't feel like a cancer at all really.
I feel more like my pisces moon and my libra mercury. And then all my aspect.

I don't know why, but I think the 4th house is really random. I don't really know how a 4th house person is, though it's my strongest house (3 planets in 4th house)

My Sun is in Sagittarius 8H and my 8H cusp is in Scorpio; I feel both pretty equally. In my experience it differs with each person.

Someone who has a heavily aspected planet and a less involved house cusp ruler, may feel the sign of that planet more. On the other hand, a person with a less aspected planet, ruled by a different sign than the cusp of the house that planet is found in, may identify more with the house rather than the sign of the planet.

It depends a lot on the intricacies of the chart.

I can see that! I am very aware of money and take it very seriously!
I wasn't given a way to make money easily so I had to be creative and start my own to become secure!
I've always had more than my brothers who were allowed to go to school and get tangible skills...being female this was a no-no for me! I was supposed to wait on a man to take care of me!
When I left that man, I was skill'less! Lol
I had to be creative and find my own way! Which I did and I've always had more than my brothers who had the skills....but my 2nd house cusp is scorpio so determination isn't an issue!
And my scorpio Uranus, scorpio North Node and saggy Mercury is also in my 2nd house!
People think I have more than I do because I'm very thrifty and I don't waste money! I don't complain about not having enough, but it's never far from my mind so I'm always planning on how to get more coming in.
But yes I will give money away to those in need and in typical taurus(2nd house ruler) I love to give the most to my kids!
