I was wondering, if a couple have no contacts between their moon-moon, sun-moon(both ways) and sun-sun in synastry, does it mean that they will drift apart even if the initial attraction is strong? Have you ever had friends or relationships that lasted and were fulfilling with no significant lumineer contacts?

I'd say that if Sun/Moon, Sun/Sun, and Moon/Moon are lacking in synastry, that the Sun and the Moon need to be touched by at least something in the partner's chart... Aspects to the Asc/Dsc Axis can be quite potent.

Luminary to luminary aspects are wonderful though, it's like some deep part of your essence is activated when they are aspected in synastry.

What orb do you allow for luminary contact in synastry? For example, a Sun-Moon trine of 7 degrees would be overstretching, right?

When no sun-sun, sun-moon, moon-moon contact, I think you both atleat have venus to Moon or mars to initiate the relationship right?
The next step if both of your luminaries don't contact each other or no contact to the Angles also( AC,Dc,Ic,Mc) .

- Then you should look at the house-lying , whether the luminaries are in the house 1st, 4th,7th,10th are really important to keep relationship more further . It's explain that some part of your partner identities( luminaries) has ignite your attention by landing in your Main House .

I also count the 8th house as a main house too because , it's is the house that make we "stay" in love by the things we sharing together - deep love, intimate sex, marriage resources , etc .

- and the last one the Saturn , if it makes any contact to your personal planet , could indicate a last long relationship.

Although luminaries contact is one of the most important things in synastry but I think it might not a total 100% to exclude the potential relationship by looking at this aspect only.

And ... Why don't you post your synastry chart ?
