I know that the 6th house represents our gurus and humility. It is the house that makes us realize that we are not perfect human beings and that we need to work on our selves. We are constantly improving and evolving. And most of the time, we are not able to do that by ourselves, we need help. What kind of outside help would a person with a 6th house moon need? I know that the obvious answer would be "lunar people." People that teach them emotional receptivity and openness. A person that radiates emotional availability. But this person I know does not have a problem with showing their feelings. They are also very theatrical. So what could the 6th house moon mean in this case? The only thing I can think of is maybe in some time, this person would be the one to provide emotional security to another person and become their guru? Or maybe it could mean that the happiness of this person evolves around serving others? Any ideas? The moon is in libra by the way.

Yes you're absolutely right! 9th house is guru, but the type of guru that teaches you about the meaning of life; the type of experiences that speak to your very soul. While the 6th house guru teaches you to humbly recognize your strengths and weaknesses and wants to help improve yourself to be the best you can be. You can almost imagine the 6th house guru to be like the Tibetan monk sitting at a monastery teaching students how to succeed in life. I never heard about the 6th house being the house of colleagues, can you tell me why that is? I am always happy to learn new things

Moon 6H people learn best from teachers who inspire growth through useful contribution. When the Moon is in the 6th there is a desire for emotional symbiosis; centeredness arises when the Moon person feels they are exactly where they need to be and contributing to the nourishment of their environment. This Moon learns by exercising emotional responsibility and therefor thrives when tasked to observe, respond to their observations, and witness their response benefit the subject of their observation.

These Moons are often quite good at figuring things out on their own, because their emotions are wired toward sensing and resolving problems before they arise (often indicating that the emotional issues they experience are quite complex or well repressed to have flown past their radar). Without being able to see where they fit into a scenario however, they experience groundlessness. They lack an emotional reference point and can become overwhelmed with the need to discover where they fit into the grand scheme of things. This panic to find their place among the ashram/sangha (speaking in guru terms) can end up detracting from their ability to take the first steps on their path. This happens because without an emotional point of reference, how do they begin to know where the first step is taken?

When given a place and a job, Moon in the 6H can start growing their practice based on their mundane interactions with their established environment. For these people, the extraordinary is found in the ordinary. This type of person responds well to the concept of Seva and will learn well from someone who understands their emotional state is directly linked to their physical practice.

Is that the type of information you were looking for?

Despite the 6th house cusp being in Libra, having the Moon there flavours the house a great deal.

The Moon represents the mother and ,together with the 4th house, represents what makes us feel "secure" and "at home".

Moon in 6th house; was your mother a workaholic who tended very diligently to the affairs of the house? Was she critical but resented being criticized? Did she have a strong work ethic?

Moon in 6th house also suggests that the mother works in the capacity of being a public servant.

When your Moon is in the 6th, you are likely to be extremely sensitive to the work environment and the relations you build with your colleagues are likely to be very emotional in content.

Moon in 6th absorbs all the highs and lows of the job, is likely to make their office a sort of "haven and is especially sensitive to being criticized.

Moon in 6th is best in work venues that utilize their strong sense of nurturing.

So as far as "mentors" are concerned, it would have to be someone whom is sensitive to your emotional energies and is nurturing in their approach. You may work well with female figures or an individual who is attentive to you personally.
