Now I'm more than convinced that you actually NEED both natal charts in order to accurately decipher a synastry reading. I have recently discovered that I do not like guys whose planets fall into my 7th house of supposed "marriage/romance/partnerships". I tend to see those men mostly as business partners/associates/best friends..etc.

For example..childhood friend..huge crush on me (long story that I posted on the personal readings board) .. all his personal planets fall into my 7th house. He's a Virgo EVERYTHING! LOL. Even his asc is on Virgo (intuitively this is what I feel). So..I do not like him as more than friends.

The same can be said for most Gemini men (I don't naturally get along with most Geminis..or heavy Gemini influenced men). I guess I'm not into Mercury so much. Perhaps because it's exactly squared my Saturn in 9th house Sag. (I'm aqua rising).

The other man who I couldn't like more as a friend (mind you I do find these men cute/attractive, but something about their personalities turn me off) has his Virgo Moon in my 7th house (conj Sun+Mercury+Vertex) .. his Virgo moon is in the 3rd house..ruled by Gemini/Mercury..bleh! He tends to get annoying..I call him irresponsible..UGH. Stresses me out, but I still *love* him more than a friend, but still something more than that, heh..hard to explain. I'm very physically attracted to him. He is Cancer rising so my Cancer moon falls in his 1st house. I really enjoy being around him 99.9% of the time =3. Being around him is comforting + relaxing...his Moon (Virgo..which tends to get annoying at times, lol) conjuncts my Sun+Mercury+Vertex of course..+ his Sun trines my Moon. We both have heavy Sun-Saturn influences both natally and in our synastry.

He has Sun-Saturn conjunction + I have Sun-Saturn square. My Saturn in 9th house Sag conjunct Juno (exact) conjuncts his Sag Sun (exact) + mimmicks his natal chart aspect, while my Sun squares his Saturn just like in my birth chart. To me, honestly..this sounds like a twin-soul synastry chart. Too many "Coincidences" + matching patterns all over the place. His Scorpio stellium (Venus, Mercury, Pluto - yes I call it a stellium) all fall into my 8th house (Scorpio). I have Venus in Libra in 8th house/Pluto in 8th house Scorpio. His natal Venus conjuncts his Pluto + his Venus conjuncts my Pluto exact in synastry. I believe 1 second or less.

His DSC is in Capricorn ( Saturn , my asc ruler)
My DSC (Leo - Sun) is conjunct his Virgo Moon in 7th house.

Both our DSC rulers are conjunct (His Sun + my Saturn).

Sorry for the rambling. Lol..felt like sharing. If anyone else has experienced a similar synastry chart with someone, please share your experience. Would love to know more + of course I will share back mine, too.

I think it really depends on what house system you're using.

But in any case. But in any case- assuming the right house system is used, many planets in the 7th house only indicate a partner that makes you feel very comfortable- to the point where you could see yourself living with them... even if it's platonic. Only Venus on the decendant means you fall in love with the person and end up wanting to spend life with them.

In general- 7th house overlays are much more significant to a MAN than to a woman. Women are complicated creatures and under more societal pressure to marry and as a result we often pick wrong partners. But men are simple. Once they come to the conclusion they do (or don't) want to marry a woman, that's the end of it. A woman's planet falling into a male's 7th house is therefore more significant than vice versa.

But as always the rest of the chart needs to be taken into account as well. If planets falling in your 7th tend to produce hard squares to your personal planets then that creates more problems.

I'm not sure. I'll have to disagree with the whole planet/house thing since he's the one pretty much always pursuing me and not the other way around. Yes, I like him, but he's "in love"/obsessed with me, and I'm pretty sure his Moon in my 7th has a lot to do with that..as well as all the planets that fall into my 7th with other men I'm really not into as more than friends.

I do agree with the rest you stated though ^_^. 7th house and a partner that makes one feels comfortable makes much more sense to me.
