I have Saturn in my 5th house (which is in Pisces), and I've heard bad things about this placement, one of them being the inability to have children I shouldn't take this too seriously but one of my dreams is to become a mother one day and experience that unconditional love for a child, having this placement doesn't really encourage me to do so.

Anyone else have this placement or know someone who does?

That's a silly interpretation. You could have a Saturnian/Capricorn child. Example : My mother had Pluto in the 5th house. The fifth house is also associated with Leo. She ended up having a Plutonian, Leo child (me).

Or it could even have nothing to do with children for you and have everything to do with the other meanings of the fifth house, like creativity and fun - maybe your idea of what's fun is more serious than everybody else's, or maybe you aren't a big fan of casually dating (5th house).

Houses and planets all represent things, yes. But they all represent a bunch of different things, so that could play out in any number of ways. In another person's chart it could mean no kids, sure, or that they wont have them until they're older (Saturn). But saying that everybody with that particular placement is going to be infertile is asinine.

Don't worry about that it can have a lot of meanings, don't take it that way. My mother has saturn in 5 house and she has me.

Thanks for your input. I was over-analyzing the aspect, because I have such high hopes of being a parent one day. I do still wish to hear others opinions on this though.

Oh and you're right about the being serious about what others call "fun". And yes, I am in no way interested in casual dating. Idc if other people do it, it's just something I could never see myself do.

Yes! This is true in my case. I have 3 children, and 3 planets in my 5th including saturn. My last son has majority of his planets in aquarius and capricorn (sun, moon, mercury, mars, jupiter, neptune, pluto, and his NN). I am and always was a bit more serious than all my friends/family, and been told on numerous occasions to "loosen up!" I also have pluto and jupiter in my 5th.

I think it is better to have a planet in this house than not. I agree with all the other posts. Luckily, the 5th house represents more than just children. I have Saturn in the 7th house of marriage/committed partnernships and here it causes a lot of issues with the potential to get married/keep a relationship going. I also have 5th house empty so combine that with Saturn in the 7th. I think you also have to look at the aspects to the 5th house to determine the strength of potential for children.

That's funny because I have an unaspected 7th house, which lies in Taurus. I've always wondered, what does it mean for a house to be unaspected? Is it just there for it to play on it's own, or does it being unaspected mean it doesn't hold any significance? Since saturn is in your 7th house, I'd see it as a challenge to keep partnerships/marriage going but once you do settle down it could be very successful/worth all the trouble you went through to get to that stage. Just my thoughts...

I just wanted to mention one more thing... The article I read about planets in the 5h describing your children said that normally, the first planet in your 5th describes your first child, the second planet will describe your second, and so forth. Aside from infertility, saturn in your 5th may cause delays in having a child. In my case, Saturn is the first, and strongest planet in my 5th, it's exalted, and is my most aspected planet. It doesn't describe my 1st child, it describes my last. The other two planets in my 5th, especially jupiter, may have countered saturn's influence, but it seemed to have been a combined effort between my pluto and jupiter. For instance, Jupiter and pluto is strong in the charts of my first two kids. My 1st child has jupiter conjunct his ascendant, and a Sagittarius moon conjunct pluto. My second child has jupiter conjunct her chart ruler, and a Sagittarius sun conjunct pluto. Had jupiter and pluto not been in my 5th house, I may not have had a child until 28 which is a good age.

I have Saturn in fifth house and I have a Saturnian child (not Capricorn but lots of Saturn aspects).

Theres also a site called grupovenus.com that gives a little free reading and dates of saturn returns, oppositions, and squares. It would be interesting to see if your return is 9 months apart (Saturn goes retro and conjuncts my natal saturn twice 9 months apart for me; january then october...which is kinda eerie). Maybe if you have something similar you'll have a child around that time?

It can mean that you make a good, responsible parent because you take your responsibility towards children seriously. The same can be said about romantic relationships, as a Saturn in the 5th person may likely be loyal and respectful in their approach towards romantic relationships. They may also value traditional forms of dating and child rearing.

I have the same placement Pisces - Saturn in the 5th. End of the cusp. Since I read an article talking about people with this placement do not have kids I started wondering ... and it got me a lil bit sad to be honest.

My mum has Saturn in Sagittarius 5th house.
My brother and I have some aspects to Jupiter (I have more than he does) and we both have Jupiter in a good position: he has Jupiter in Cancer (exalted), I have Jupiter in Sagittarius.

We both have SUN conjunct SATURN. And my brother has Saturn in 1rst house, I think conj ascendant. He is the 'first child' of my mum.

I think I don't need more words.

You should have positive thoughts .

Saturn in 5th and children may suggest a serious approach in rearing children. This is especially when the Moon is in earth or also aspects Saturn.

I have Sag in Saturn in 5th(have a 5th house stellium, actually, mostly in sag planets). I have a child who was planned, and my regret is that I didn't have another one near my first, because I can feel the loneliness sometimes within my child, no matter how much love and comfort we provide. Child is also only grandchild on my side of family. If I have more, there will be a little gap for my first born, also for their potential future cousins. I've also stated in the past, not looking for judgement here, that I'll never love another like my first born! Along with that I was the one everyone stated would not be " the type " to have a child when we( friends and family) were younger! Life is funny like that!

Agree with this! Have a Cap Moon 5H op. Saturn and I will never be a child's "friend". What I will be is a teacher and someone that can guide and solve problems. I'll never be the parent that rolls around the sand/mud/snow/whatever while flailing arms thinking life is awesome to feel like a kid again.

No, this is only one way Saturn could possibly manifest in the 5th. Saturn represents responsibilities so it could infact bring about a Saturnian child when it's in your 5th house.

Couldn't it also mean delay in pregnancy?

Yeah, it could, but there's always different ways a planet could manifest
