And if we were determined to assign something, there's only Jupiter and Saturn left. So...Jupiter for the Sun and Saturn for the Moon (lol)?

Or maybe Ceres for the Moon?

I'm sooo happy! I mean, cappy.

I think the Sun's higher octave is Saturn, while the Moon's higher octave is Jupiter, IMO. (if they even have a higher octave)

(only using planets, no asteroids)

But if asteroids are used, then Ceres is good for the Moon and Chiron for the Sun, IMO.

And if adding Vulcan and Earth into the equation, then Earth for the Sun, Jupiter for the Moon and Saturn for Vulcan, IMO.

Hmm I can't see the relation of Sun and Moon to Saturn and Jupiter as higher octaves.

But Sun and Moon represents a duality that I don't think that other planets can be the higher octaves for them.

Again sun and moon are luminaries.

I don't really think they NEED to have octaves.
since they are really more personal and directly related to you more than any other planet,

Honestly I don't really think there is a good or bad placement for the sun and moon. It's subjective really.

I mean yeah I can see how having Venus is a light signs would be an advantage because she has similar personality but the sun and moon are just dimensions of ego and subconscious.
I don't think it's nessarily important to have a certain type of ego or mental outlook to live a stable or happy life.

Just as an FYI, it's 'a lot'. I wouldn't want you to appear less than brilliant, Ms Leo. 😉

Or, if we MUST ...

ARTEMIS and APOLLO. Right?

Though I think it's groovy the way it is.

I can see Jupiter for the Moon but Saturn for the sun seems a bit dour although I can see a connection since both deal with executive functioning, organization, running empires.
In a way, I can see Jupiter as a higher octave of the sun since both Sun and Jupiter usually produce cheerful people.

This is also what I think about this topic.

Here are the octaves in my opinion:

Sun - Jupiter or Earth
Moon - Earth or Jupiter
Vulcan - Saturn
Mercury - Uranus
Venus - Neptune
Mars - Pluto

- Jupiter for the Sun because both Jupiter and the Sun contain generosity themes, but the Sun can get controlled by it’s ego and can become rather selfish and ego-driven in obtaining it’s popularity and status by “faking” it’s generosity, while Jupiter is always generous and expanding. Never looking for anything in return but expanding to create a better and more lively, generous, jovial and positive world with it's uplifting and optimistic nature.

- The Earth for the Moon because the Moon controls the water’s tide, so it governs marine life, specifically, but the Earth governs all life, it sustains life and allows it to bloom, thrive and flourish. The Earth contains water plus vegetation, and an oxygen rich atmosphere. The Moon even orbits the Earth and is much smaller than it. The Moon exalts in Taurus, which is even ruled by the planet Earth. (IMO)

- The Earth for the Sun because the Sun is looking toward Earth to ground itself. The Sun is opposite from the Earth, so it’s looking for stability and security within the self of the individual. It has much to do with the Sun/Earth opposition and Sun trying to become a more stable and evolved individual by being complemented by the opposite sign of the Sun sign.

- Jupiter for the Moon because the Moon wants to nurture and care for the people or animals they love, while Jupiter wants to care and expand for the world as a whole. Jupiter isn’t limited by it’s own biased love of something because it loves the world and only wants to bring hope and optimism to it and every living thing on it. This is why Jupiter is exalted in Cancer, so that it can nurture (Cancer) the world as a whole and expand (Jupiter) the love and care to everyone.

- Saturn for Vulcan because Saturn can be more career-oriented than the more daily work-oriented Vulcan, which means we bring Vulcan’s logical, analytical, critical thinking and reasoning skills and implement into a career. (Saturn) Vulcan has no drive or direction unlike Saturn, which has ambition for success and status. Vulcan only defines the world using logic, while Saturn creates it into a more organized structure in which it can then be implemented for one’s own work ethic and into the world to create what we know as, reality. (Saturn) This is a good reason why Saturn does good in Virgo, (a Vulcan ruled sign, IMO) because it can implement it’s intellectual skills into a structured career with a methodical and calculating work ethic.
