I am cancer sun, mercury and VENUS and I'm not clingy at all but I have Uranus in positive aspect to moon and I have mostly fire planets everywhere else except asc which is Capricorn But my stepdad is a Taurus with venus in cancer and he is is veryyyy clingy lol Idk I guess it would just be looking at the natal chart as a whole IP: Logged |

I have mars in cancer and I'm far from clingy. Cancer is a very emotional water sign. Maybe it's their extreme emotions that people see and assume for 'clingyness'. IP: Logged |

Moon and Mars conjunct in Cancer here, and I'm not clingy, but I just care too much I guess lol.
Even though I sometimes may not be verbal about it.
But I do have a tendency to hold onto things and mull over them. But apart from that my Cancer side makes me very soft, nurturing, caring, emotional, sensitive, kind and sweet.
I guess some of that comes from my Moon's duad in Libra too.
But if someone insults me or my loved ones or those who I care about, ooo they better watch out cause I'll give them a piece of my mind.
But I'm not an aggresive or mean person at all in general, just when someone crosses the line with me. Maybe its cause my Moon and Mars are conjunct that I feel the need to defend and stand up for myself and those I care about, without shying away.

I know a double cancer who shuts people out and is very emotional - she ll come back but she's constantly in some sort of emotional turmoil. It's hard because you can't rationally talk to her and get through. It's hard to know how to help her and be proactive. This is a family member. Anyways. I don't really have any cancer friends so it's hard to speak to this. I get along great with the moons though. My friend dated a Cancer/Gemini/Leo rising and he was crazy clingy and possessive. Honestly I find cancers clingyness to come from its mothering nature, I am a cancer sun, and honestly i just want to cuddle with my loved ones and cook for them and do nice things and ask them how their day was and all that, i really love to feel like I am nurturing someone it makes me feel good to share in positive comforting feelings with them but I noticed that some people find this to be clingy instead :S some people don't appreciate being mothered thats for sure LOLThere's also that whole part of mothering when you think your "children" don't really appreciate you and you feel insulted or sad about it LOL. I've learned not to spoil my friends or loved ones like that so they actually appreciate when I do do the nice things for them hahaha IP: Logged |

I'm a mars retrograde cancer opposite Neptune, so energy is tricky for me. The good side is when I tap into the positive energy I can be protective and nurturing, to the point of clingy ness, although I do tone it down, because being clingy does get annoying for the other person. I prefer being clingy only when I know the other person needs it, I am not needlessly clingy because I need my independence too. IP: Logged |
