I know one off the top of my head. She's Sagittarius/Pisces/Libra.

Her Venus is in Scorpio in 2nd and Aries is in Mars.

I'm asking because I have an eensy weensy new crush on a Sagittarius. But am generally afraid of flightiness and the whole Sag/Gem axis despite my Venus, Uranus, Vertex and S/M MP being on this axis.

I'm one of those non-flighty Sags.... If it's the right person. But it doesn't take me long to figure out. So I wouldn't string anyone along.

Does that not help?! :-o

I have Venus in Scorpio as well but in H1.

Yes that helps. I'm mostly fire so I wouldn't be afraid of keeping the fires burning as much as keeping the fires burning with a player.

Don’t let astrological generalizations scare you. Even people with the so-called flightiest aspects and positions are still people.

Anyway here are some aspects and positions that would make a Sagittarius Sun more grounded from what I’ve observed personally.

- Saturn aspects – especially to Venus. It makes them take things more seriously.
- Pluto aspects – again especially to Venus. Venus-Pluto people rarely take love matters lightly, no matter where Venus is placed.
- Scorpio Venus – usually very loyal and tend to stay (aspects to Uranus and Jupiter may change that)
- Capricorn Venus – similar to Scorpio Venus in terms of loyalty (same goes for Uranus and Jupiter aspects)
- Fixed Moon – they tend to be very “stubborn” with their emotions which reduces fickleness
- Capricorn Moon – tend to be serious and cautious where emotions are concerned so they avoid playing with fire.
- Moon/Venus aspects – both soft and hard; I really can’t explain why but they’re present in all the non-fickle Sags I know

I’ve also seen Sag Sun/Libra Moon be grounded although traditionally it’s not a combination which someone would immediately associate with faithfulness.

I’m sure there are many more indicators but this is from personal experience. To be honest I’ve never met a stereotypical flighty Sagittarius. All the ones I’ve known have been very serious when it comes to love.

I've met the stereotypes! I have a Sag sun cancer moon sag Venus friend who was a fickle serial dater.

My boss cheated on his wife and is the biggest flirt an he is a Sag sun/Leo moon

The guy in question seems more stable than the flighty flirty Sag. He's a Scorpio moon and Capricorn Venus. Don't know birth time though. It's in the infancy of being a crush.

Thanks for your input everyone!

I'm with a Sag sun and Cancer moon and she's not fickle at all, at least not once she becomes attached. She also stuck through a bad marriage for years (though she thinks she would've divorced eventually had her husband not died). I figured it was her Scorpio and Cancer placements that made her less likely to bail. 'Course Sags (like everyone else) tend to become more stable as they mature, too.

I'm Sag/ Libra/ Capricorn

I'm anything but fickle. I have quite a few planets in Sag.
Once I'm committed I give it my all.

The Sagittarius men that I know are the same. Only know one Sag girl and she's not fickle especially when it comes to men. She'll only make time for someone she's really interested in.

Tbh I didn't realise Saggies have a rep for being fickle.

I do have Venus opp Saturn and Saturn in the 7th, which as was said here and elsewhere makes me less fickle than other Sags.

You can check the aspects even if you don't know the birth time.

I didn't either TBH. But I always thought it was my Scop Venus that make take love more seriously. Though I have to confess I do love to flirt.

The rep is that Sag bails when it gets rough rather than working it out. Sometimes this is good, better than sticking with someone who will make you just as neurotic or whatever as the partner. But other times it can mean as soon as the relationship hits a bump, or even just gets too intense to threaten his/her sense of personal freedom, that the Sag might bail. Sags will fight if they must but if they can simply "move out of the way" (and explore some new horizons in the process) then that's often preferred. Sag can also use humor to defuse a sitch, only many others get angrier feeling Sag isn't taking the problem seriously which can also push Sag away. Finally, the typical Sag doesn't want a shadow or be anyone else's shadow, they need freedom to roam and their partner should have their own life or risk becoming tedious & boring. And that can make them seem fickle, especially to those who long for obsessive Scorpio types to smother them.

Sag males in particular have a rep for being players and being casual (especially in youth) though I personally don't know if that's really true or if Sag is just more honest about it then most other men.

Generally speaking, I think the typical Sag attitude can be summed up as, "Don't worry about spilled milk, the cat will come along and lap it up, in the meantime I'll go find something fun or interesting to do."

Because the Pisces moon? Really? I don't get that from Pisces moons. I mean, I know they're a little impressionable but it's not like player one-girl-to-the-next the way I mean fickle.

I'm an insanely loyal Sag (Sun conjunct Neptune, Jupiter in Cancer, Moon in Virgo, Venus in Scorpio, Mars in Leo), sometimes to my own detriment. But I also have Uranus 7H sextile Mars, so when someone actually crosses that rubber band I call a line, I am prone to completely immolating bridges. It's a mechanism very invested in my Mars. There can be a certain point when remaining loyal to a person becomes disrespect for one's self. That tends to be my queue to exit the situation.

I think before I connect with others (which tends to be instantaneous), or when someone I am getting to know shows signs of being a volatile person, I can have a level of apprehension that can result in me being unreliable. I try to be very respectful of others within the boundaries of our established relationship, and when someone struggles to show the same respect, I can tend to have one hand on the door.

Something to also consider, Sagittarius as an archetype is a pack animal. They bond with those they feel are their equal or superior, and a very strong loyalty is forged based on the rules, "You are in charge of you and I am in charge of me. We don't carry each other, we walk side by side. If you stumble I won't lift you up, but I will help you find your own way back. If we are separated, it's not goodbye, it is until our paths cross again".

To the more watery or earth types, this may not sound loyal at all, but the archetype's devotion is like a personal trainer's. They cant lift the weights for you, but they will do anything to help you find your goal.

As a rule of thumb, I`d say Sag- Suns with Venus in Capricorn or Scorpio might not be as changeable as maybe if they had Venus in Sagittarius, too. (of course this is a generalization, too).

I am a Sag-Sun with Cap Venus. Not fickle at all.

Know a Sag who has been in a committed 7 year relationship and was loyal throughout. Venus in Capricorn.

I also have Sun/Neptune conj. plus Moon/Merc conj in Sag. My Venus & Jupiter are in Scorpio & Mars Libra BUT I would say exactly this! Except I wouldn't have used the word immolating as I had to look it up.

Really, you summed it much much better than I could. Perfect!

meyray,
do you see less fickle personality in people who have moon-venus aspect in general?

I don't know about fickle,I just think Sag does not like the idea of being tied down. They like to be on the move. They like the wide open spaces. They don't like the feeling of being cramped,in whatever form it may take.Once they get the idea they can have a relationship while still maintaining a sense of freedom, they get it.They may love someone wholeheartedly,it's just the concept of being somehow confined,or limited in any way that gets them itchy. They are in love with the idea of freedom. They've got to be ramblin on--

This^^^ is true to me. Especially the part of being in love with the idea of freedom. Because it is more the idea than the actual freedom I like. I like being settled down but would always need to feel that there are other options/adventures on the horizon if I wanted them.
Being confined or having mundane routines is my worst nightmare.

True as well. I need a man who will go with me. And my ex took to live in three different countries. He's a rolling stone. LOL>

I like this thread! Better than the one that says Sags are delusional.

I know a Sag Sun whose been with her boyfriend since high school, They have two kids now.

All I know is that the guy is a Libran, but the Sagittarian in question has Sun-Saturn conjunct and Venus in Scorpio.

Another Sag, who seems to live out the stereotype has Moon in Taurus, Mars in Capricorn.

But he has Mercury sitting on his Sun and has had numerous relationships and babay mamas. He is also bisexual so there....
