I have never dated a Capricorn before, but met one over New Years. I think we both felt very comfortable around each other, but after incessantly talking about how much work he needs to get done to relax, and how unsure he was about us due to him not being able to relax, he broke up with me. The thing is, he was the one to start crying and sobbing doing this. He literally got down on his knees sobbing, saying "i'm sorry, I can't". Then he said that he would call me in a week or so to "check up on me."
I can understand the work thing with capricorns, but not the overly emotional nature. His moon is in Aries, venus in Capricorn, and mars in Aquarius. We both share an Aries moon, but I've never quite gotten that emotional after only dating someone for a month.
Are Capricorns really this emotional? Perhaps they are getting a bad rap for being the overly serious type?

Yeah actually my friends ex is a cappy and a literally believes he does not deserve any form of happiness.
Cries all the time and purposfully messed up because he does not deserve her and wants her to leave because he enjoys being miserable LOL..

So yes this emoish behavior can be an influence of saturn.

Thats just awful! The only other Capricorn I really know is just a victim in every situation, and never takes responsibility for how her life is going. She has never been alone, and will bounce to a new relationship within weeks of a breakup or already has a new one lined up. This guy just didn't really seem like that, but maybe I am seeing both extremes to this sign.

The ones i know whine alot. Its rare for them to show emotions. My cappy sister cries if her son is sick or when my daughter was a baby she would cry because she missed her.

Once her son made her cry because he didnt want her to leave and she felt bad. Then her virgo fiance started crying and they all cried together lol!

My ex cappy bf wasnt the type to cry. He did call me and cried when his cat died. I cried with him.

They only show emotions with people they know well.

Well, we didn't know each other that long! I started crying just because he did, but I always cry if someone around me starts to. He was very worried about hurting me, and knew that if this progressed into a relationship he would inevitably mess things up. It was the most intense break up for someone I've only known for a month, that's for sure!

What is his Jupiter and true north node? Does he have a lot of planets in a water house? I am going to guess Pisces is somewhere in there since it is a sign away from Cap. Pisces can be emotional.

Are you a Virgo or something, ladybates? Maybe he genuinely loves you.

I'm a Cap sun, I've never cried at a break up,* not that I recall, but then again my Scorpio NN is tightly conjunct Joni Mitchell's sun....she who famously sang, "If you care, don't let them know. Don't give yourself away."

(Both Sides Now )

* I meant, during the actual break-up discussion.

Ha! Actually I am a Virgo rising! But Libra is my sun sign. We both are Virgo risers. His jupiter is in scorpio, and NN in Cancer. Nothing in Pisces. I thought it was perhaps due to his mars being in aquarius and cappy sun that made him have the attitude of not wanting to get into a relationship?

Oh, and sorry faux, his chart is pretty cardinal earth heavy. Only planets in water are NN, jupiter, and saturn.

Hmm Scorps are not criers unless they are crocodile tears. I have seen some Scorps tear up but not full fledge cry. It could be his Cancer but they are not really criers either. They are more very emotional though. I think people are more like their NN signs so if he is Cancer NN and Jupiter is in Scorpio he could be very emotional and expressive which might translate to tears. Or maybe he is going through something now.

Well, he is definetely in touch with his feminine side. He liked to think of himself as a healer, and is used to having all of his friends come to him when they are distressed. I made sure to tell him that I did not need to be saved, and I liked him for other reasons. I like to be independent, and don't need anyone to save me, that is all inner work that one needs to do on their own. We are both into buddhism and meditation, so the idea of inner work is something that we both understand. I don't want to make it sound like I was the crass one, being around him made showing affection very easy and natural.
That week he was pretty inundated with his friends and family breaking up with their S.O.'s, so I'm sure that had something to do with it, along with the work thing.

This thread should be called "Aries moons, criers?"

j/k

Hi 12muddy! *waves*

Edit:

Actually...that might be it! I'm a Pisces moon, and I have an Aries moon acquaintance born three days after me, same year. She and I lead remarkably similar lives. One would think that I would be the crying one, but when we both hit a rough patch a few years ago, SHE was the one emoting, spilling it all out in vivid, gory detail. I could say, "Ditto...wow, ditto" but she took the lead, expressively.

Well damn he's got sun conjunct Neptune!

I'd ask to see your synastry but this might get transferred to Personal Readings.

One question, do any of your planets touch his Pluto-Saturn?

As an Aries moon myself, I will say we do express ourselves very much so when the time arises. I wasn't much of a crier, but when I got started, it was hard to stop. I've sort of grown quite a bit this year, and am now more in tune with the whole crying thing, as its not so much of a big emotional ball spilling over. Maybe its just how he is, but with all that Cappy influence, you'd think he would hold it in more.

I was going to guess that!

Not sure but it seems like he could "use" your Mercury as a conduit to express his deeper feelings...that he got this sense that you just knew where he was coming from, without him having to speak it. YOU could speak it for him. Especially with your moon conjunct moon, ASC conjunct ASC.

Just a guess however. Please, more experienced astrologers, don't hound me for thinking this.

Aww. But he broke things off though! Our composite has venus right on-top of neptune, so I was pretty cautious about thinking something was different with this guy, but it was different! It did feel like something good, natural, comfortable. Perhaps he will wise up, and come back, but I can't deal with someone so unsure about me. Thats one thing that will make any girl go nuts!

Yeah, it's weird. At least you don't seem to be too down about it, that's good.

I think, along with your synastry, it's his IC-Jupiter Scorpio that made the tears...expressing (IC) HUGE (Jupiter) emotion (Scorpio.)

Well, I think I am more disappointed, but I kinda have a feeling this isn't the end. Who knows! We have some major uranus contacts in synastry. Like his conjunct my venus, and mine conjunct his jupiter and IC, so massive upheavals! I'm sure there would have been lots of stepping on each others toes if it would have continued

I never thought about the neptune conjunct sun aspect making him sensitive, so thank you for that insight!

i know another mars in aqua who breaks down and cries. I think mars in aqua makes one totally unpredictable in expressions of anger.

I haven't known any cap who cries though...

I think the mars in aqua kind of made him arrogant somewhat as well. He was pretty shocked and embarrassed when one of his friends called him out on that aspect. But, it certainly brought out the "new age" type behavior in him. Healing with touch and energies.
