What religion do you follow, if any, and how does it tie into astrology for you? (If at all)For me, I don't follow any organized religion. I believe there's simply too much to learn and experience in the world to restrict myself to one set of standards in one religion. Not to say I look down on it at all, not trying to offend anyone! I have Jupiter as my chart ruler in Sag the 12th IP: Logged |

I can't follow rules. It's like when you have to read all the directions in class. I AINT GOT TIME 4 THAT. Like when I was little I was some what intrigued but just too lazy. **** all of this I want to playWith religion you must obey. It's really just a mix of not caring and finding it ridiculous at the same time. Really the only reason why I study astrology and doing anything spiritual at all is because it's an advantage. I don't find religion to be an advantage to me, if anything it restricts a lot of things. Again I don't need to feel like something is watching over me and guiding me. I have my parents. I have myself, and some close friends. Like some people do yoga because it's suppose to help enlighten you? I just want to be more flexible LOL but my jupiter is in a physical earth sign so it's indifferent.

That's exactly how I feel! When I was younger my extremely religious, Catholic grandparents forced me to go to church and after school church classes against my will and it made me want to rebel that much more. I never fit in at all and constantly felt awkward. IP: Logged |

LOL I'm actually quite spiritual just not in religious terms, which is why I was curious. Totally open to learning about others' beliefs as long as they don't shove them down my throat. IP: Logged |

LOL @ Cappy I am not religious, but I do have spiritual beliefs. Similar reasons to Kero - I find the rules completely arbitrary and generally pointless. I follow philosophical ethics (normative & applied ethics, rather than religion) when it comes to the actions I choose to take, and I generally pick the consequentialist path. That being said, I think Astrology can easily fit in with any religion... but many religious people would not share this opinion. My Jupiter is in Pisces in the 10th - widely conj my Mercury also in Pisces/10th. My Jupiter is square Saturn in Sagittarius (6th).. and my Mercury is square Uranus in Sagittarius (also 6th). That's so cool because I have Jupiter in the twelfth and I am exactly the same. It conjuncts my ascending degree in Libra. I bet it's awesome having twelfth house Sagittarius Jupiter!

I flushed religion down the toilet (polite enough?). Jupiter in the 11th. It's the dispositor of my chart ruler and the ruler of my IC and Mercury.------------------ I'm sooo happy! I mean, cappy. IP: Logged |

I consider myself to be completely non-religious. We will probably never know how we got here or why, but over the years I've become more and more content with that. I don't know if I can really see anywhere in my chart pointing to this view, though.

Starlight, from what we've compared in other threads I'm beginning to get freaked out by how much we have in common lol!I don't understand my 12th house Saggy Jupiter as much as I'd like to. Or my 12th house Pluto. And they conjunct eachother. Sigh IP: Logged |

I lean to the Christian side of things though it's unstructured, so more spiritual. I do have a belief in how Astrology and Christianity fit together but I'd rather not get into that. It's rather simple though. I also believe many people make it much more strict than it actually needs to be. Again, I don't really wish you discuss it. Overall, I really have no issues with what anyone believes and I cannot see the point in fighting about it (anywhere, not here only). To me it's a simple matter of respect. I will respect their beliefs. If pushed on me I believe in responding kindly and stating that I will not change mine, but will respect theirs. If it means that they have certain rules and that they must do or not do.... No problem. As long as it doesn't actually hurt anyone else. I believe in freedom. .. Free will. Everyone deserves that and I dislike fighting about it. (which is why TYPICALLY you will not find me getting involved in these kinds of threads)

I am agnostic/ atheist. I have not been presented with sound evidence that a omniscient ruler of the universe exists. Consciousness after death is another matter. I was raised agnostic & was priestess in a coven in my younger years. I am thinking of practicing again for the sole fact it feels natural & meditative to me.------------------ Claire "When going gets weird, the weird turn pro." -HST IP: Logged |

Wow. I am intrigued by Jupiter/Pluto conjunctions and yours is in Sagittarius, too! Very powerful! Could be very karmic and spiritual since it's in this sign and house. Maybe you were a spiritual leader of some type in a past life, a prophet? This aspect might be associated with prophets, maybe? I have Pluto as part of a stellium conjunction in twelve but it's not conjunct Jupiter.IP: Logged |

free mind ..a little bit of the bible (since a majority of the people who read it dont know how to read it correctly) astrology is cool i just feel like i surpassed many of my original traits with time.. not in a progression chart way but in a form im half of what my birth chart is and thats from years of meditation, yoga, knowledge, astrology is fun though but i would never use it to say my life is already mapped lol because my free will is stronger i like new age practices too which is basically old age refined IP: Logged |

It's not just astrology, but environment. For example, if someone has placements that drive someone to compulsively conform to or rebel against family then the kind of family they're born into will matter on whether or not they're religious. In my case I think my Libra on the Scorpio cusp (plus Jupiter and a couple of asteroids in Scorpio) keeps me from accepting religion based on faith. I just have to analyze it until blind faith isn't possible, I admit to too many possibilities, and I also see a lot of cracks that others don't (Libra weighs these things carefully while Scorpio is unafraid to look deep). On top of that I think my 5H Sag also make me prone to philosophical and individualistic religions that accept the physical rather than considering it a distraction at best (Scorpio's influence may play a part there, too). And all that makes me Ignostic. I do believe my 3H Libra Venus gets me to attempt to participate in the religion of family (and try to be respectful when visiting a place of worship where I'll even usually keep silent), but as more than one religious zealot or bully has learned, best not to try to put me under their thumb, being respectful doesn't mean spineless. I'm a solitary practitioner! That's what I meant when I said spiritual but not religious. I'm not Wiccan and a lot of the people i've come across in that community look down upon agnostic practitioners so I usually keep it to myself to maintain the peace and spare the debate.

I have this crazy urge to find out more about past life stuff ever since I even considered the possibility. You saying that just makes that urge so much stronger! Agh!

That's what astrology is for, to me at least. I use it as a tool to guide me in life and to recognize what areas may be more difficult to work on and need more focus and patience. Astrology has helped me to accept other people for who they are (and the stupid things they do ) and it's also helped me accept myself. IP: Logged |

Definitely a Christian. Person of Faith. Some things I see as flexible - gray area. Other things are simply black or white for me. In both territories of religion & astrology. I don't feel that astrology is evil. I find it to be very helpful in understanding yourself, the people around you & strengthening your relationships with them. I'd never put astrology over God though. Jupiter in Pisces, 5th. Cancer Moon in 9th. IP: Logged |

I was raised Christian and got into astrology while my spiritual beliefs were anchored in Christian concepts. The bible refers to astrology quite often. From the way the creation of stars and planets are explained in Genesis, to the glaring parallel with the 12 tribes of Israel, to the description of God and his angelic hosts. It's excruciatingly difficult to miss if you have even a slight understanding of astrological symbolism.Astrology influenced me to look beyond the confines of the spirituality I was fed as a child though. At this point, I am essentially an Animist and astrology plays very well into that spiritual perspective. IP: Logged |

I agree when people say use it a tool to understand people and yourself better sometimes it's prejudice though or if I keep judging people on signs or natal charts it basically indicates every one is a pre programmed computer because they haven't grown. Like when I say I'm maybe 50% of my chart now as far as personality charesteristics what makes you think a lot of people I know are will meet are no longer there chart? My biggest mistake was thinking I knew it all about people but dam that has been proving me wrong lol actually on numerous occasions I think my self more upset because the person I had thought I known based off her natal was nothing like in person and I'm killing myself because she's not and I'm like she has to be. I have had plenty friends go from crazy firey wild young adults to non chalant , laid back , very calm people. People grow IP: Logged |

I was raised Christian then leaned towards Islam because I felt more of a connection to God when hearing the azhan or touching my forehead to the ground and letting God take the burden off my shoulders. Then I just chose to feel connected to God instead of necessarily adhering to one religion. Sun conjunct mercury in Aries 9th house Jupiter in sag in 5th house IP: Logged |
