Is that the "real them" i'm seeing then?

Ascendant clashing or?

Edit: When I say completely I mean a different vibe feeling

Yea, ASC clashing, oppositions/squares to ASCs usually do that. Sun/Moon buried in water houses.

Having a different vibe is strange, because vibe usually remains the same even when the person undergoes change in personality.

Recently I met someone who is this way... One way with me when we are among friends and a different way when we are alone ...

I'm often different from what I appear to be. I have Virgo AC aspecting Taurus Mars, Cap Neptune, Scorpio Pluto; square Saturn that is conjunct IC, Gemini MC, Aries Sun/Moon/BML/Venus/Mercury. Sun is square Neptune.

My Aries stellium is my core, which is only shown if I feel familiar and safe with someone.

My Mercury will greet you. Upon approval, my Uranus will make your head spin and lastly, when you have had enough of me, my Pluto will start digging your brain to pieces OR freeze you out because you didn't accept my Uranus when I told you about her. Not confusing at all..

I’m similar. I don’t display different personas at different times, but I do shut down completely at first and let people assume whatever they want to assume about me. So when I show them the “real” me, they get confused. 5 planets in 4th house, 1 planet in 8th house, I think they’re the ones responsible, because others need to get very close to me to see them and planets in those houses are difficult to express as well.

Real them. Hard luminary aspects to ascendant? I have two and I'm nothing like I come across at first when people get to know me. People who see me think I'm a brat. Or a snob. Or a b-word. Or mute. People who get to know me would say I'm the opposite of everything I listed. I do "shut down" but my personality doesn't really change and I think that's why people think that.

Scorpio AC square Leo sun by ONE MINUTE. 12.31 and 12.32
Moon at Taurus 12.12.

Chart ruler and descendant ruler in 12th and 8th house respectively.

I know three people who are like this and all three had the same transformation. When in a group of people they acted out, they were very loud and even obnoxious. They were the “bully” type and they always had to put others down to stand in the spotlight. When you were alone with them they acted like normal considerate people without getting in your face.

Unfortunately I don’t have the data of two of these guys (They were both Taurus Suns born in the same year so they definitely share an Aries Mars). I only have the chart of the last one.

7th house would be 1-to-1 interactions. Perhaps a lack of aspect to their 7th houses?

Oh you could be onto something. I have planets that aspect my DC but I only have my unaspected (only quintiles and bis) Jupiter in my 7th house.

It may be. Or it may be them fooling you into seeing something that isn't there (meant to include feeling a different vibe).

Another possibility is that you're seeing one of many sides, s/he allows different sides to come out with different people, but they're all part of the same person even if it does make them somewhat chameleon like.

Erm, isn't everyone like that? Or is that just me. I tend to consider people as multi-dimensional... we all act different depending on the person we're with. I sure am a helluva lot different when I'm in a group of people vs. alone with X, Y or Z. I'm still the same person, I just show a different side in different circumstances / to different people. ASC sq Moon? *shrug*
