I'm just curious who has experiences with this aspect.
Tell your thoughts about it.
Of course the weight of the relationship between two people does not rest on a single aspect but, all are influential.

Let's hear it!

I did not experience this. But my sister had it with her hubby and there was an extreme violence it put her marriage at stake. She would come to me every night venting and horrified by his violence ( he was Pluto ). He was a Plutonian native himself, which I believe is the reason why. So I think if Pluto doesn't weight a lot in the native chart, no worries no violence would surface.
What I experienced was the Pluto-Mars opposition, and because he wasn't Plutonian himself ( nor do I) our relationship was quite smooth.

I had the opposition as well, with my first long-term relationship. It was a very argumentative relationship, and physically violent often enough. Definitely abusive. I was the Pluto person, but rarely the aggressor.

Maybe it's easier with the square.

The relationship I had at the beginning of last year had Pluto opposite Mars, Sun AND Venus..fun times..yeaaa NOT!! Violence is right..I was the Pluto person in all of those aspects. He pushed my buttons and then I lost my cool and hit him upside his head (yes I know very wrong) and well he decided to unload on me. Btw, he's military so he probably could have killed me. Well he was choking me like he wanted to..anyway.. Yea please avoid this apsect at all cost. BIG red flag. We actually had a TON of Pluto..I wasn't as deep into astrology like I am now and now that I've had a chance to study our synastry, all of the Pluto explains why we were sooo obsessed with one another. Like we thought it was perfectly normal to call each other 5 or 6 times in a row if we couldn't reach the other person right away, we'd stay on the phone all night asleep, I didn't get a lot of sleep during the period of time we were together..it was quite bizarre. It only lasted like a month? We made it a official during the first Mercury retrograde last year..he moved up here to be with me..it only lasted like two weeks. Strangest "relationship" I have ever had.

I experienced mars and ac conj my pluto/sun (from opposite ends). There were power struggles and some arguments but no, no violence and no abuse. Maybe because of other factors...which will always be involved, and always colour the whole picture.

D: omg this is scary... Well natally I have Mars oppose Pluto square Jupiter, so basically people around my age has Pluto oppose my Mars. My husband's Pluto is opposed to my Mars by 5 degrees I guess, but we don't have violence.

(hmm now that I think of, during primary school I used to get into fights, including having a whole group chasing after me... maybe it's this aspect after all!)

I met that square three times. Twice I was Mars, once I was Pluto.
This is one of the cases where I'd say that awareness through astrology + maturity are absolute must-have.
I see it as provocation: at some point someone has to (know how to) stop. Else it's like two countries buying more and more weapons to stay on top of the other.
It cannot end well.

The only thing you can do is be responsible and end things if you feel it would be possible for you to lose control. I know I did the one time I was Pluto.

I think both Pluto and Mars can be the aggressors, but in different ways. Mars can be very overbearing from Pluto's perspective. Mars will attack directly, in your face kinda way. Pluto, would unconsciously try to undermine Mars power first, driving them into frustration, so they would exercise their violence freely.
That's how I witnessed it.

I have Gemini Mars/Libra Pluto, and all five of my siblings have Virgo Pluto. I don't remember the degrees, except I know my sister's Pluto is tightly square my Mars.

She's the only person I ever punched in the face. (I was only 16, so pardon me.) And she's thrown me up against a wall a few times. She's three inches taller than me, and twice my weight.

I like my brothers, but it was hard for me growing up with them. I miss them, but we do fine being spread out across the country, seldom in the same room.

Yup. Me and my sister.

Edit:

On the other hand, I do have Virgo Pluto friends, close to my sister in age, and we get along fine. Maybe it's just living in the same house, or being in a close relationship with a person, year after year, that will create this build-up of pressure.

Also her sun and Mercury tightly oppose my sun, and so does her moon by sign, though I don't have her birthtime.

I have this placement with my father. I am not sure if this aspect applies to non romantic relationships. I can't stand him though. He is the only person in my life that makes me get angry and violent. I ended up living with my mom full time because I couldn't stand being around him. He is Pluto, I am Mars. I also happen to have Mars opposite Pluto in natal. I don't know if that means anything.

Or it could just be sibling rivalry. I have known other siblings to get in brawls. Sometimes, siblings just don't get along.

Yes, but of course, astrology also applies and can show the severity of the situation.

Pluto (my father) square Mars (me). There was time when he would often get physical with me. Verbal fights are a norm.

I'm sooo happy! I mean, cappy.

Yes. Similar to my sister's case. They were so in love, got married and life was so rosy and all. Until one day she could swear she would wake up to find him pillow-chocking her. Crazy ******* .
Most two aggressive planets, tied with a hard aspect; the energy convection and build-up will certainly create an explosion after a certain time. Good point.

Well, the way I see any placements {both natal and synastry) is, if you don't know about them, they do you in, but if you find out more about them, you can work out a way around them just by awareness. I have a very destructive aspect in my chart and if you look at it, you would think I would not even be here now because of it but I became aware and worked with it instead of being guided by it. So, despite all the stories of Mars/Pluto indicating violent, tense, situations, I believe if you are aware of the potential, you can offset, In other words, an aspect doesn't mean the same thing for everyone but it can do you in if you don't think about it.
I have Mars square Pluto natally since Mars is in the third house, I do my best to avoid negative verbal exchanges with people. Despite what people say, there is nothing bad or shameful about being quiet, making myself scarce and just avoiding potential situations, then reemerging when things calm down.
With moon/Neptune, it's the same. I keep an eye on that one too. When it is triggered by transits I do a positive Neptune activity, like see a movie.

Learn about the positive side of Mars/Pluto and focus on that. You can change any negative aspect into a positive by doing the positive side of the aspect. Like if it's a square, do what is recommended for the sextile/trine. Like, with Mars/Pluto, work out together, play a game, or some kind of activity, like what would likely happen if you had the sextile or trine. That way you can avoid the intensity of the negative aspects.

Yep!
I've done it in my own natal chart.

So that makes me wonder though....

What would you say about Pluto 1st house square Mars 10th house? (her 12th and 9th house - both Libra asc)

It sounds scary, but nah...... we're not scared.

See that's the thing, don't let any negative aspect intimidate you! The key is to figure out what you like to do that requires a lot of energy and focus, this is what Mars/Pluto is about. Channel the energy into some kind of activity that requires a lot of focus and drive and that will interest you both.
A common goal that you both envision. This aspect can transform and create, like the trine or sextile if you focus on this instead of letting the energy cause negative things because of boredom or something like that.
A lot of times people just get bored and there's just too much energy that isn't being used that's what leads to problems imo.
So, from first to tenth, you should make meaningful activities (it can even be something like painting a room or building something - there are no limits, just something you two enjoy doing, will get satisfaction knowing you accomplished it together, and will use up the energy) a priority in the relationship. I see this aspect as indicating greater than average amount of energy between you two.
It can be a very beneficial aspect. Just recognize there's a lot there that needs direction.
So always think of yourselves as united, on the same team, and that you can accomplish a lot together and this is a path to happiness.

Yep!
Ummm... well the energy expense. LOL

In the future yes. TMI probably there but I tried to be subtle.

Seriously though, there is a gym literally a <5 minute WALK from my place and we intend on joining. We both enjoy the gym a lot.

Also, she loves to paint and I don't draw, but I would LOVE to. I have always wanted to. With her nearby to talk to (to keep this Gemini Moon / Virgo Mercury entertained) I think I could really get into it.

I felt Pluto square Mars. I don't think she notices to be honest because of so many Pluto (me) conjunctions to her "big three" and Mercury. That's mind, body, soul right there. Wow!!
I was wrong though. My pluto was getting a little whacky and I've put it in check.

We both have hard aspects to mars in our charts and absolutely no abuse. We'd never ever hit each other!
