I met someone a few months ago who is very much a public figure, and I know he won't appreciate his name being thrown around, so I'm going to be discreet and say only that he is involved in the film industry, and he's not an actor. He was shaking when he first met me, and I am magnetically drawn to him. Of course, it turns out we have a NN/Desc conjunction (very tight). I don't know his TOB, nor am I in any position to ask just yet, but I've played around with his chart and it seems that he likely has his natal Saturn at 24 Capricorn. This is what Astrotheme has to say about that degree: Interpretation of the 24° Capricorn symbolic degree "In an amphitheatre, an arrow is shot by an invisible hand." Ambitious, clever, and irascible character. Success requires continuous learning and training. Similarly to the pianist or the dancer who practices every day, it is necessary to constantly hone one's skills in order to maintain them at the highest possible level. It is at this condition that one can achieve success in a career requiring dexterity, or in education and literature. According to Manilius, a Roman astrologer and poet of the 1st century of the Christian era, this degree endows with great manual and intellectual nimbleness, but it also indicates that triumphs and celebrity are often followed by disfavour.
Well, I can say that he has definitely reached the pinnacle of success and recognition in his craft, but I wonder about the last sentence that indicates some kind of disfavor later on. Has anyone here known a person with a planet at this degree, and does Astrotheme's blurb ring true for them?

The fixed star Terebellum is at 24 degrees Capricorn. TEREBELLUM - [24 degrees into Capricorn] Greedy, scheming, shrewd. There can be fortune, but with guilt and possibly a bad reputation. http://www.angelfire.com/empire/serpentis666/Degrees.html IP: Logged |

Yes, crabby, a drummer of incredible "manual and mental nimbleness"...who became too famous too fast and too young...and descended into addiction which has been haunting him ever since...tho no longer using, his health was seriously messed up for years. I believe he is still drumming tho not on a world-class scale, keeping it small and personal...IP: Logged |

12muddy, how old are you? Perhaps in order for the description to ring true, you have to reach a certain age where your achievements have already been recognized, if you know what I mean?IP: Logged |

oh, boy, Lilith, you got me started with the fixed stars and now I'm on a tear. Not only does this guy have his Saturn at 24 Capricorn, but he's got his Mars at 19 Scorpio, where Serpentis resides (the accursed degree), according to some ancient astrologer. Not saying I believe that his Mars is "accursed". I wouldn't know, anyway, not being close to him. All I see is a brilliant career with many honors bestowed, and much attention from the media for the impact his work has had on certain unfortunate souls (his creative works have been said to have spurred others so some kind of social reform). And what looks, from the outside, like a happy family life. IP: Logged |
