I have a few squares in my synastry with someone, but the orbs are pretty wide, ranging from 4° to 7° and beyond.

So I'm just wondering, how strong will the effects of those wide squares be felt and as a result cause tension/conflict between us?

Should I risregard them alltogether because they are too wide or no?

It depends, the rule is that the wider it is, the less effect would be felt, so that for example, if it is 0 degrees then it would be stronger than 3 degrees which is stronger than 5 and so on. It's like a thermometer that the closer it is, the hotter it gets.
Also, it depends on how strong the element is.

Lastly, it also depends if the elements are part of a set of aspects. A third element forming aspects with them that is within the considered degrees for example, would make the square count.

I give ten to the Luminaries, six to the rest.
