Romantically/sexually it has been mostly water signs - Scorpio (especially), and the occasional Cancer and Pisces. Not sure why that is (I'm Virgo), maybe because my AC,MC, Venus and Mars are all in Fire/Air signs and I am drawn to the opposite, the mysterious, or maybe because my Neptune is bang in the middle of Scorpio in the first house. I've had quite a few Taurus/Gemini boyfriends too but that felt more like a friends thing that compelling attraction. IP: Logged |

Historically for me it's been Pisces and Libra. I had a mad love affair/whirlwind engagement with a foreigner/heir to a small fortune when I was nineteen lol. He was an Aquarius. That was very intense... But he had a Libra moon, so that's why I wouldn't add Aquarius to the list. I have found that I am much better off when I stay far away from people I find magnetic. It always ends terribly. I'm a virgo sun, leo moon, aqua rising.IP: Logged |

In fact I don't know what it IS about Scorpios.lol. I've been irresistably drawn to three in my life, one when I was 18 (first love I guess) who I would have quite happily married (had he not revealed his rather darker, sting-y side and dumped me haha), then when I was 35 (eyes meeting across a crowded bus, electricity of a sting ray, blah blah, cue passionate affair!) and then a third one recently (sobs). The Pisces and Cancer men were equally irresistable, Pisces man slipped away and Cancer man bit my toes off. Please excuse the puns!IP: Logged |

Same here. I'm usually just very good friends with Leo men and although I did have a long term relationship with an Aries once, that really was based on an energetic friendship than emotional attraction. Taurus men are great friends for me but difficult lovers (we're both stubborn I guess, esp with my Venus in Leo). I don't think I've ever knowingly known any Sagi men personally, strangely enough. Why don't they ever come out of the woodwork? lol Does anyone ever find their own sun sign magnetic in a relationship?

Pisces That is the only sign I'm magnetically drawn to.Aries I like but it's not magnetic I can easily get over them. Those are the only two signs I see myself with... Unless they have a lot of Aries and pisces in their chart. I have been really attracted to Pisces moons but it's the same as the suns. Cancers come 3rd because I often find them to be really cute but again It's not magnetic. IP: Logged |

Scorpios and Pisces! I have my north node and IC in Scorpio so it makes sense why I am inexplicably attracted to guys with huge Scorpio stelliums. I haven't really had a serious boyfriend yet at 18 but all my "serious" crushes were Scorpio guys without even realizing and they have helped me grow and love myself more. I find that these guys have always been like a rock to me.
I have Venus and Saturn in Pisces in the 8th, explaining my attraction to Pisces guys as well (their sun falls in my 8th + same sign as my Venus) IP: Logged |

Exactly. Our 5th, 7th and 8th houses (signs on the cusp, sign and house of the cusp rulers, and planets in these houses) show what we're attracted in others. Each person will have a unique pattern when taking these into account. THE 5TH HOUSE… The 5th house cusp and ruler, plus planets in the 5th … Show who is romantically exciting to you, who impresses you, and who is the ’Apple of our Eye’. This house is the one in charge of romantic sparks, infatuation, adoration, and the epic saga of your personal love story with a certain special someone. THE 7TH HOUSE… The 7th house cusp and ruler, plus planets in the 7th house…Show who gives you feelings of sweet affection, warmth, established acceptance, and completion…. As if they offer you what you ‘need’ in a partner. The 7th house is not always exciting like the 5th house, rather it represents who you LIKE, and want relate to as a partner and friend in your daily existence. The 7th house is the 'Venus house', and people who activate your 7th house are your 'weakness' in the sense that they have the ability to charm you and win your affection. THE 8TH HOUSE… And last but not least, the 8th house cusp and ruler, plus planets in the 8th… Show who attracts you in an intriguing, magnetic type of way… Here you want to figure the other person out, and merge with them in the most deep, intimate way possible. This house is where we share ourselves, and what we have to offer, with another physically, emotionally, and financially, to the point where our lives are inextricably intertwined. (Note: for all of these houses also take into account the sign next along after the cusp sign, if a large part of that sign falls into the 5th, 7th or 8th house.) The 5th, 7th, and 8th houses relate to different phases of a relationship. But when people activate these houses in our chart, they bring to life for us feelings typically associated with these phases on a pretty consistent basis. From an astrological perspective, the 5th house is the ROMANCE/COURTSHIP period of the relationship, where we fall in love, and observe how special and unique the other person is. This is the part of relationships most movies and novels are about. The phase when a serious commitment has not yet occurred, and we may not yet have revealed our feelings to a love interest, or had them reveal their feelings to us. There is uncertainly and suspense in this phase, but also excitement. The courtship phase is full of risk, as is typically associated with the 5th house. There could be great joy or heartbreak depending on if the courtship leads to a secure partnership or not. This is also the house of the playfulness and flirting typically seen in new romances. The 7th house is the MARRIAGE/COMMITMENT period of the relationship, where we relate as individuals, exchange appreciation, and make agreements. Here the relationship becomes public, and an official commitment is made. In the 7th house we recognize that the other person feels 'right' for us, choose them as our significant other. And the 8th house is the CONSUMATION/MERGING OF RESCOURCES period of the relationship, where after the being ‘united as one‘ officially in the 7th house, we become interdependent on each other through the sharing of ourselves, and our stuff, in the 8th house. Within the privacy of an established relationship, we make negotiations, and reveal our vulnerabilities to our chosen partner. The 8th house is all about building trust, and deepening the bond of a couple. When people have planets conjunct either end of our Vertex Axis they can be magnetic for us as well. Also, Venus and Mars can indicate the style of approach we like form the opposite sex. IP: Logged |
