Somehow, I've noticed that there are a few major differences between Earth/Water ACs and Fire/Air ACs.I have Virgo AC, but even if I have 5 planets in fire (Aries/Sag), I tend to prefer a calm and introverted lifestyle. On the other hand, I've noticed that people with Air/Fire ACs tend to have a more outgoing lifestyle, which I've found kind of different from mine. Have you guys noticed this? IP: Logged |

I think the ASC sign is the most important thing to examine when you're trying to determine how extroverted someone is. My sister is extremely outgoing even though all of her personal planets are below the horizon and she has Aqua Rising. My ex has a Virgo ASC and is very introverted despite having all of her planets above the horizon. They've both have most of their inner planets in Taurus, Aries, and Pisces but they couldn't be more different, especially when it comes to social interaction. I have a Taurus ASC and I'm introverted but more outgoing than my brother, who also has a Taurus ASC. I think that's because my ASC is near the Gemini cusp though. Anyway, I agree that people with fire and air signs on the Ascendant are generally more outgoing than people with earth and water ASCs. Although of course it depends on what else is going on in the natal chart... planets contacting the ASC are especially important. IP: Logged |

I remember reading something about masculine and feminine signs - masculine signs direct their energy outwardly while feminine signs do the opposite and are more introverted. After reading your post I thought of the people I know and it's kinda true that if the ascendants are earth or water signs, they tend to be more introverted n enjoy the calm, quiet settings. But this is where I'm a bit confused, some articles claim that the sun sign is the inner self and the asc is the image we project. So wouldn't the sun sign determine whether a person is introvert of extrovert??? IP: Logged |

The Sun represents our ego, our conscience that we are or will be, while AC represents our general self. And then the house where the Sun is can also hide its manifestation sometimes. I have 8th house Sun in Aries, and that Sun, along with my Aries Venus/Mercury/Moon in the 8th house are not really obvious lol as they are in a watery, introverted place. IP: Logged |

I think there's some truth to that. A friend I grew up with was born less than 48 hours after me, we have nearly all the same degrees and signs, but she's an aries rising and Im a scorpio rising. Most of her placements are above the horizon and most of mine are below. Her scorp moon sits on her 8th house cusp while mine is in 21th.She knows numerous people and gravites towards load busy environments while im the opposite. She can have many emotional outbursts and some people, including her might say she's bi-polar. Where as I keep my emotions locked away and try not them influence others. IP: Logged |

I actually have dry skin too and I'm a Virgo AC too! But I think that my less good characteristics of the physical is shown by Saturn square AC. IP: Logged |

Nah, I'm pretty introverted. My Ascendant is Leo and Sun is Virgo. But this could be because my Ascendant's depositor; the Sun, is in Virgo. When I'm in public, I'm really quiet, shy and introverted. But when I'm with friends, I am very open and extroverted with them. IP: Logged |

I'm the same with people I don't know and people I do know. I have Sagittarius Rising and Pisces Sun. All of my planets are in my 1st - 6th houses, none above the horizon unless I add asteroids and what not. Though I can be really emotional but I have moon/pluto on my first house. I guess this works in some cases but not all? IP: Logged |

I think progressions of the ascendant are also very important. Personality always changes over timeIP: Logged |
