There are other wide aspects, trine to Uranus at -7 degrees and squares neptune at wider 9 degrees so I don't know how keenly those will be felt

Ooh yes, I can see why you had some difficulty with the first guy..
He made a lot of squares to your 7th house ruler.
Those trines to his other planets may have been good for some pleasant attraction though.

And as for your second guy, the Moon–Saturn will be good for stability and emotional support/grounded-ness.
I wouldn't count the other aspects though, as they are a tad too wide lol

Its as though his Asc is conjunct your Desc, symbolically, because Venus is your Secondary–Desc ruler

I dislike hard neptune aspects...esp bc I have natal moon square neptune and venus opp neptune
so I tend to attract those aspects...blah!

Me too, in my natal I have Venus square Neptune lol.

I have an Aquarius Desc.
Its ruler Uranus is in Capricorn in the 6th
Its co–ruler Saturn is in Pisces in the 8th

Yeah I like a bit of air mixed in there too, but mainly earth and water as I'm mostly water and earth myself.
I like that it produces a cozy familiarity, comfort and understanding in my relationships.
I connect better with earthy/watery types.

My Secondary Desc is my 11th house in Gemini.
Its ruler (Mercury) is in Virgo in the 2nd house, so there's that earth again lol

But my 5th house is in Sag so I like a but fire and spice too ahaha.
Its ruler (Jupiter) is in Scorpio in the 4th, so a deeper soul connection is crucial for me before falling in love.

My Secondary 5th house would be my 9th, which is Aries.
But its ruler (Mars) is in Cancer in the 12th – so again, I need that emotional connection and deeper understanding.
