Whatever degree your Venus is at (2, 16, 21, 28, etc) look for Venus around that degree in the other earth signs, Virgo and Capricorn, or in the water signs Cancer and Pisces. Scorpio is opposite Taurus so it can be complimentary but its more of a push and pull type aspect. However we'd need a bigger picture than just Venus in order to attempt to determine something like compatibility, as you have to take the chart as a whole into question, i.e. whats the 7th house, whats the Sun and Moon house/sign/aspects, how does Mars fit in etc.

As a whole I'd say for good compatibility you want someone who has a chart similar to yours but not identical, different enough to keeps things alive and exciting and 'fill in the missing pieces' so to speak but not so identical its like being in a room with yourself.
