Right now we're about a little more than halfway through the very infamous Pluto-Uranus square (or rather it would be Uranus-Pluto square), in about 4 years Uranus will be moving into Taurus where it will make it's home til 2027 when it moves into Gemini, right after Pluto moves into Aquarius. A very supportive trine will happen between the two, further supported by twin sextiles to Neptune in Aries. I'm interested on hearing people's take on this line up of future outer planetary transits. I've seen a little talk in a very general way on Pluto in Aquarius, not really anything on the very soon coming Uranus in Taurus however, or the synthesis of these placements.

From what I've researched Pluto in Aquarius is usually synonymous with social reform, be it lofty or otherwise militant. The last time Pluto was in Aquarius it held a supportive trine to Neptune and towards the end opposed Uranus in Leo. Probably the most well known historical event of this time period was the French Revolution. Basically the common people of the time were tired of the cushion-y lives lived by those in government and those with high social status while the rest of the country grew very impoverished. Earlier works by some of the first enlightenment thinkers acted as inspiration for many of the demands at the time, these would also act as inspiration for the Declaration of Independence (America was founded just a year or two before Pluto went into Aquarius). What was basically happening was an uprising of the underdog (Pluto) in search of a more democratic and equitable society (Aquarius). I can already see many parallels to what's going on in the world today, we can point to America as a good example of this but similar things have been happening in many countries, in a lot of cases riots and reforms have failed and situations have gotten more dire. I think the nature of politics and the world we live in today would buffer against any full blown wars instead favoring grassroots style protests and riots, as well as reforms from the inside out, as people in high positions of power realize what their governments have been setting up.

Uranus was last in Taurus from ~1935 to 1943, a period of time that encompasses most of the Great Depression. During the Great Depression we say unemployment rise considerable in most nations, up to 25% in America and up to 33% elsewhere. In other words almost 1 out of 3 people on the planet were without jobs, basically - a LOT. From the early 1940s onward the global economy slowly began to pick up, many giving thanks to one of the most infamous wars in history, World War II - which lastly 1939 to 1945. I wouldn't, however, attribute WWII solely to Uranus in Taurus, even if it is in Fall. At the same time Neptune was in Virgo (in detriment) and Pluto was in the sign of Leo, which I personally consider to be its fall. Uranus moved into Gemini from 1943 to 1950, during this time we saw much advancement in science and technology with the invention of the mircowave oven, the jet airplane, the jeep, velco, television, and radar.

I'll stop there (for now) because I find Uranus in Gemini to be interesting in the scheme of all this, the last time Uranus was in Gemini Pluto was in Leo (opposite Aquarius), and Neptune was in Libra (opposite Aries), so we come full circle now to a rehashing of these outer planetary energies - the same setup but opposite signs. This time will they be focused more globally, at humanity as a whole or bridge together the individual, Neptune in Aries, with all of humanity, Pluto in Aquarius, with communication and technology playing a pivotal role? Not to mention right before all these transits Jupiter and Saturn will conjoin at 0 Aquarius (2020) and start a new cycle of Air conjunctions. Is this the beginning of the "Age of Aquarius", the start of a new global paradigm, a new world war? Taking bets on all sides, love to hear some input

American isn't a good example for anything.

This is timely and interesting.

I was searching for Uranus in Taurus discussions as that is coming up. Last time we had the great depression. With destruction of the middle class and state of world economies in recent years, i'm wondering if anyone has thoughts on what this Uranus in Taurus might manifest? Considering it astrologically I mean.

I would argue that, when taken in its entirety, it is hard to find America's equal as a force that has freed more people, lifted more out of poverty, or more advanced science and technology.

America has its flaws, as does any country or people. America also gets a lot of bad press these days. Mostly by people that would like to replace it with something worse, like the ordered peace of an Orwellian novel.

Uranus in Taurus will be a very interesting placement to obverse. New innovative ideas about security? Home comforts? people will find new ways of changing there values and morals.

Hope when Uranus in Gemini comes around, we can all go through another spell of where communication is dignified than ever before.

I thought there would be a level of affinity in the way Pluto would operate in Aquarius, much the same way that Uranus operates in Scorpio, but I guess we'll have to wait and see.
