For some reason, I've never looked at his chart until yesterday (I don't think I knew it was available, actually).

I find it odd that he had zero afflictions to his Neptune or luminaries, yet was depressed and addicted to substances, and then took his own life (so sad).

His chart ruler was rather afflicted, but the only 12th house placement he had was Pluto.

I dunno, I just thought that was odd.
Maybe just so many water placements...

I just dug out a Love-Cobain synastry chart I found online, and Pluto is right on the asc, conjunct Psyche and opposing Saturn, Venus, and Chiron. If you add more asteroids, Pluto is also squaring Ceres and Bacchus, which are in opposition in his 10th and 4th houses.

Probably because of his excessive water. Maybe he didn’t want to feel all those watery feelings. Pisces can pick up other people’s feelings and mistake it for their own, he probably had to deal with a bombardment of feelings. Drugs make the feelings go numb. I’m not convinced by the “suicide” theory. One day he was recording a solo album and next day he was gone ?

His Sun is square Neptune by 6 degrees, he also has a LOT of oppositions from Virgo to Pisces, mostly in the 1st and 7th houses.

That's what I was thinking, too.

The other weird thing is that he doesn't have anything in his 4th to account for his troubled childhood. Totally empty.

I guess anyone can have a troubled childhood, but I would expect there to be some sort of 4th house activity, or at least afflictions to Sun or Moon?

Erm...only those weird ones they have available. I'll try to make one.

He does have an out of sign, 7 degree orb square from Sun to Neptune. I have my orbs set to 70 percent, so I didn't notice that...

Hang on while I make a link.

But yeah, he does have the oppositions from Pisces to Virgo.

Also depends upon the ruler of his 4th house IMO.

Well...his angles are all square, so that might add to the 4th house stuff and childhood?

I just don't see anything that screams "Drug addiction and depression!" in his chart, or childhood troubles. It's odd...

He has Vesta-Neptune. Drug addiction maybe? It's part of the grand trine.

I don't like that Pisces stellium from 7H opposite his Pluto/Uranus.

Yeah, maybe so much water, combined with Neptune/Vesta trine Jupiter (expansion) and his Pisces stellium could do it, in combination?

But I still don't get the depression part, or his childhood.

I think that's because you are missing out on the transits, during his childhood Uranus and Pluto squared his moon, and right before he killed himself the Uranus-Neptune conjunction was opposite his moon, he also experienced squares to all his planets in Pisces when they both transited through Sagitarius in the 80s

Whoa, yeah. Those are some heavy transits, alright. No, I haven't delved into the transits of his life, but that would explain a lot. But what about the addiction issues?
The square from Sun to Neptune is wide and out of sign, but I suppose that a ton of oppositions from 12th would possibly create that?

I put in asteroids but didn't find much. Except he has Priapus conjunct ASC/Pluto.

Maybe it's really all that water planets that made him overemotional or rather, unable to get better.

He has a lot of planets in Pisces so it could be that, especially Saturn in Pisces I find often has very hard to break addictions or vices. It could also be a result of earlier transits, a transit is a lot like a natal aspect only it forms temporarily rather than permanently but it can still cause permanent change in personality or behaviors.

i really don't think he killed himself.
using heroine….indeed he was. for sure.
but i don't know a single junkie that would shoot themselves, over ODing.
Kurt didn't want to die, anyways. he loved his daughter. could afford his addiction. was a successful artist. why would he want to kill himself?

ready for the flac. call me a conspiracy theorist. go ahead.
