As long as I can remember back, it has been difficult for me to sleep in periods… it's like I just can't stop thinking about random things that just pop up, so I can go for days maybe even a whole week where I'm only sleeping a couple of hours everyday…. it really affects both my job, my free time and probably also my health in long-therm… nothing seems to help, but I haven't tried medicine yet though…

what in my chart causes it, and what aspects in general?

I looked to the moon first literally because its the planet that represents the night (trying to word that so it didn't just say something like"coz its a night time thing innit" :P )
Anyway, I'm a Cancer rising too and am a terrible sleeper. My moon receives quite a few stressful aspects from the other planets as well, so maybe that has something to do with it? Cancers have that affinity with the moon of course, always changing like the waves etc etc...

Also, you have a watery moon so maybe that enhances it. I'm not considered insomniac, but then my moon is in an earth sign, soo...

No I'm very good at forgetting all about work when I come home lol:P But I haven't really had a real "job" until now…I'm working for a company and I have a lot of responsibility on my shoulders now… so gotta take it seriously, maybe thats why it disturbs my sleep these days

I have a gemini mars, you have a virgo mars...
Mars has to go down for you to sleep! Mars is your drive it's what has to wake up and in order for you to get out of bed and it has to go down for you to go to sleep.
But our mercurial mars means we can physically be laying down and our mars doesn't necessarily get that laying down means sleep as it might with a more physical mars placement!
Our mars can still be going strong and totally miss that we are trying to sleep because our mars is in our head and less in our bodies!
For me to sleep when I can't get my mars to shut up/off is try to meditate, force all my mental energy into keeping my body so still and my mind focused on shutting down, this gives my mind something to so at the same time it tells my mind it's sleep time!!
