Good points about Moon and Venus, however the defining factor is Mars and the Sun, IMO, because that's how men express their "masculinity" and how they see their basic "self."

In both cases, we have a Plutonic Sun - Sun sq. Pluto in one case and Sun in Scorpio in the other (controlling / dominant factor).

Mars is also connected to Pluto in both cases (quincunx and square), pointing to anger and resentment issues, that tend to be repressed at first and then explode in destructive ways later.

The fact that their Moon and Venus are afflicted tells me that they direct their anger / violent impulses towards women because they feel a sense of injustice or frustration related to their earlier conditioning (mother or other female figure) which then gets transferred onto the women in their lives. That's why they feel the urge to abuse women - it's a way of punishing their parental figure with whom they have unresolved issues.
