And what if the ruler and Saturn are retro and square? Is it a hopeless situation?

I have this, Cappy.
Taurus is on my eighth house cusp
Ruler is Venus in tenth house Leo
square Saturn.
So I am very cautious about eighth house matters.
I have moon and Saturn in the eighth, too, and Saturn conjuncts the cusp of it.

Hello Cappy!

Saturn is my 8th house ruler; does that count? I have saturn at 15 degrees libra in my 5th house. Some interpretations I've read say that placement can indicate the loss of a child. How horrible is that! I hope it never manifest. Saturn is tightly trine my sun conjunct ascendant in gemini, and squares my capricorn moon (thank you universe!). My south node is in my 8th house conjunct my moon (4) and square saturn. Transformation has been a huge theme in my life both emotionally and with respect to my personality. As a child, I was really shy and introverted especially for a sun conjunct ascendant gemini, but not so much anymore. I am pretty authoritarian and need lots of control and structure where 8th matters are concerned. As far as emotional and physical merging and intimacy, I'm am tightly closed! Not that the urge isn't there; it's just hard to express being as serious and cautions as I am about it, and I don't do casual. The most difficult aspects are the squares saturn makes to my moon and nodes. It's hasn't been easy, and I let fear and cautiousness hold me back a lot. Now that I'm aware of my issues it's gotten much better. I think once I get over myself it will be highly rewarding. Can't you sense the transformativeness of it?!!!

My 8th house ruler is saturn it's retro and it conjuncts my MC.
