I also think that i don't look as i imagine i look ...quite sad....when i take selfies they tend to be...normal? i use a lot those vintages themes or softer themes... IP: Logged |

Leo sun - almost always looking directly at the camera. It's about 50/50 if I take a "normal" picture or make a goofy face. lol Pluto and Mars conjunct ascendant. 1st and 12th respectively I really rarely ever do and I have no social media page. IP: Logged |

I have three planets conjunct my ascendant. My MC ruler is afflicted. I like the way I look in the bathroom mirror. I hate most of my photos. It's like when I look in the bathroom mirror, i see a different face than what appears in pictures.
There's a light right above the mirror and this has everything to do with it. Lighting makes all the difference.
I am excruciatingly harsh and critical toward myself. with Pluto conjunct my south node in the twelfth house. I unleash the inner critic on myself more than anyone else.IP: Logged |

I have Sun and Mars trine Asc in a tight orb.
I feel the same way, this is because we generally look at ourselves in mirrors more than photos. A mirror is the flipped version of our "true" reflections. Because we look in mirrors so often, we become more comfortable with that image of ourselves.
Best thing to do is use a camera that has mirror as an option.

When I am taking a selfie, I must look my best. I am taking the picture, so I must be in control. I like my hair and make up looking its best. I took some selfies for a while, cause my relationship was long distance for a year and a half. One day I told my guy I fit into this blue dress that I like, that use to be my sisters, and how happy I am. He wanted a picture. It went over very well. Another time I told him I bought a bikini. Have not felt confident enough to wear one since I was 16. Suck in gut, snap! snap! snap! Choose best ones and send. After a while I got in a habit of taking selfies for him with out him even asking. Become a little way we spiced things up. But no underwear or nudes. Its against my morals though I would consider doing something like that if I was married.(and I hear to many stories of young girls getting in trouble for this) I would often take a picture and give him a text message in Spanish(that language turns him on and he's fluent) Now I only take pictures of my self. If I did something new with my hair. It's a hobby of mine. And it's really fun to show people what I did, and have people ask me "you did that?!" I prefer to have make up and hair looking its best. Ya know what they say "take a picture it will last longer" So I might as well look my best. Sometimes I feel like the days my hair is gross, and I have no make up on...that's when people seem to have a camera and want to take pictures of me. I deal with it. I think it's good to have pictures of you not looking your best too, that way you know who likes your looks no matter what. I will also go in public with out make up. But for selfies, I like to be in control, because there are plenty of pics where I am not and that's okay. I also hate side profile pictures of my self. Gem asc square Venus Pisces house 10

I second that. I think of selfies as a dumb thing to do. 6 years ago if you took a selfie than you were considered weird, as if you had no friends. Now it is a trend. Oh, please. I think I'm the most unphotogenic person in the world… I'm always like: "Do I REALLY look like that crap?"
I think if a photographer took my picture it looks nice, but sadly most of my friends aren't photographs, and it's like they just don't take good pictures of me…I think it's true with the mirror thing… I can stand in front of my mirror for an hour thinking I'm soo hot, and then when I come out and people take pictures of me, I'm like WHAT THE??? I hate pictures!
