I never really understood what my oppositions did in my case before now. I personally have pluto in opposition with my asc, mars and mercury, and i notice that with the mars-pluto one atleast(it has the tightest orb) I tend to have periods where i plot out everything in advance, trust no one and i focus allot on acheiving power trough money and influence etc. Other times when i'm more affected by mars ill be more impulsive and agressive and ill focus more on acheiving physical power, usually trough strength training and martial arts etc, i also care allot more about sex in those times. how do you guy's feel your oppositions in your charts?

I can relate, I oscillate between the two planets as well and project the other onto someone else. IP: Logged |

Oppositions... The way I see it: Imagine X and Y are two planets in opposition. When you express planet X, you'll be met with a reaction that is characteristic of planet Y, from the external world (person or event). If you express planet Y, you'll be met with a reaction that is characteristic of planet X. And that dynamic reflects an inner opposition in yourself - two sides of an issue that you have trouble balancing. That is why, the opposing reaction can also come from yourself and not necessarily manifest as an external event. Ex: Venus opposite Uranus When you express Venusian traits, like affection, the desire for closeness and relationship, you may either feel an internal feeling of unease - Uranus trying to "break away" from the closeness, to regain its desire for freedom; or you may be faced with someone who acts distant / cold - playing out the Uranus energy for you. Conversely, when you act distant / non-commital, a part of you may feel the need for closeness ("I'm feeling lonely now") or you may be faced with someone who acts clingy / needy with you and demands your attention / love / affection (Venus). There is *usually* less obvious tension in the opposition as opposed to the square, which is more internal and more under pressure. With the opposition it's like a back and forth between one energy and the other. IP: Logged |

I have an opposition between Saturn and Mars and they are enemy planets. There are times when I want to exert myself but some circumstances that stop me from doing so. Other times, I want to be controlled and disciplined but my environment requires me to be more assertive. This is a really big problem for me especially because I want to be a musician. My mars is in the 5th house and saturn is in the 11th, which means my friends and platonic relationships restrict me from asserting my creativity. Sometimes, I do feel that my friends don't care about my talents nor are they supportive of me. It really sucks because as a Leo, I need all the approval I can get from other people to feel good about myself. IP: Logged |

Not to go OT but how does that dynamic change if you have oppositions that also form conjunctions to personal planets? For example, I have Saturn/neptune/mercury all opposing my ASC but all those planets also conjunct my Sun. IP: Logged |

So the Sun actually conjuncts Mercury, Saturn and Neptune? On the DSC?That means someone who lives for relationships but may have trouble forming successful relationships because of conflicting needs and behavior. The identity and self-expression are very much tied to relationships here, but there can be a sort of uneasy/ tense vibe to it because of the Saturn and Neptune energies. IP: Logged |

But we call it Pluto not Hades.. I get really annoyed when people use roman names, it's confusing. If i were around you in real life I would probably make fun of you by saying something sarcastic.. NO THERE ARE ALREADY BODIES WITH THOSE NAMES SMH. IP: Logged |

Yeah I agree it's quite confusing. Hades is okay-ish though because of the "Hades Moon" concept... But the whole Ares, Aphrodite and what not... Not my forte, haha.IP: Logged |

I just got a theory; the planet that you project onto others is dependent upon their energies so say in my situation: if i met someone who had allot of pluto i would play the martian part and vice versa.IP: Logged |
