I think there was a similar thread a while back, but I'm trying to learn more about Venus Returns and would love to hear stories/see charts... It can be tedious to look up the chart and get it down to the exact degree, minute, etc, but the angles and houses are really important...

For me the VR chart for 2013 had Pluto conjunct the DSC (11 Cap) under one degree. Then, my upcoming VR for 2014 has Pluto conjunct the ASC (12 Cap) under one degree. That's insane lol. I never paid much attention to Venus Returns but that's a ridiculous coincidence. I'm ok with the change though, to me it seems like taking back the power.. This last year had Venus, Moon and Sun in 8th house, this year has Venus and Merc in 1st hopefully meaning regaining self confidence and all that

Meanwhile... My natal DSC is 16 Cap, so Pluto is 3 degrees away. But reading the descriptions (especially the negative ones) all I could think was ok great well I've already been going through all that, I can only imagine what'll happen when it's exact... So idk all I can think is maybe it's been preparation for that?

Anyway, I'll post my charts if anyone's interested, but I'd like to hear other people's stories and experiences. Especially if your VR correlates with transits you might be having or other patterns like SR charts too...

I`ßve recently starte thinking about this, too.

In a composite of mine there is Venus on 16 Cap, and everytime Venus was transiting that point, *something* would happen.
We don´t even really know each other (well), but still these days stood out, and it would always be exactly on these days Venus was transiting her own composite placement. Odd.

When I am going to have more time later today, I will check the Venus Returns of my parents for the year they got married. Seems fitting, too, they have been married for 40 years this year. lol

I already saw their respective Venus returns had a widish conjunction of their ASCS in the VR (29 Leo and 25 Leo)

My own Venus return this year has a loose Venus-Pluto-conjunction at 3 degrees.

I find that significant though, as it repeats the natal (I have the square natally), and VR Pluto is also tightly conjunct my pr ASC, and of course has been glued to it for quite a while now.

Venus is very much oob, too.

It was so natally already (at 24 S), but this year`s VR is really extreme (at 27 S)

It's easy for me.

If you give me the exact Degree and your current venue, I'll do it.

This goes for anyone.

E-mail me.

I am back with my parent`s VR for the year they got married.
Only listing those I consider significant (including parallel/ contraparallel)

my Dad`s VR
-------------

°VR Moon conjunt VR DESC by 4 degrees
(my Mom is a Cancer-ASC btw)

°VR Mercury exact conjunct and parallel VR Jupiter in VR 7th house
- this one I consider very important for these reasons:

1. It is exact
2. It is conjunct AND parallel
3. it falls into the 7th house in VR-chart
4. and this might be the most important reason:
Mercury and Jupiter traditionally rule his natal ASC and DESC (Virgo-ASC).

° hi VR Venus (same as natal obviously)
conjnct VR Juno and trines VR Mars

° his VR Venus also contraparallels VR Pluto
- this repeats his natal aspect of Venus-Pluto-opposition
(and he married a Scorpio. lol)

° his VR Pluto is also parallel his VR ASC; and his VR Venus paralels his VR DESC

° his VR Moon is parallel VR Jupiter

° his VR Saturn parllels VR Antivertex and VR SN (the Saturn-SN one is important for very individual reasions; first of all it comes up in my mum´s VR, too, but maybe even more importantly, synastrically my Mum`s SAturn is exactly conjunct his SN)

as for connections to this natal chart

° his VR ASC and VR Pluto parallels his natal Moon; his VR Venus contraparallels his natal Moon

° his VR Moon and VR Jupiter parallel his natal Venus and Vertex

° his VR Pluto conjunct his n Juno

° his VR Juno conjunct his natal Jupiter wide (4 degrees) and opposes his natal Pluto

My Mum`s VR
-------------

° her VR Venus contraparallels VR Juno

° jer VR Saturn parallel VR SN (Saturn ruls her natal DESC)

° her VR Juno sextile her VR Jupiter exact

° her VR NN conjuncts her n DESC wiely (4-5)

° her VR ASC parallel her n Juno

° her VR Venus cop her natal Neptune

° her VR Jupiter parallel her n Vertex

° her VR Satunr parallel her n Pluto

° her VR Juno parallael her n Neptune

EDIT:
Without the inclusion of the declinations their VR` charts might not be considered too strong, though both have a planet/ angle loosely connected to their ASC/ VR ASC (Moon and NN).

Also, since they have been married happily for 40 years now, I think it must be enough. lol

I have also checked for significant synastric interlinks between their VR`s as well as VR and natal, and thought there were some interesting ones:

Remember the significant Mercury-Jupiter-conjunction in my Dad`s VR?

It was conjunct and parallel my Mum`s VR DESC

° his VR ASC conjunct her VR ASC (4)
° his VR NN conjunct her VR Moon (1)
° his VR Juno opposite her VR Sun exact
° his VR Amor opposite her VR Psyche exact
° his VR Psyche trine her VR Eros exact

° his Vr AS p her R Pluto
° his VR MC p her VR Sun
° his Vr Saturn p her VR SN
° his VR NN p her VR NN
° his VR AVX p her VR Saturn
° his VR ERos p her VR Psyche (0°10)

his VR to her natal
----------------------

° his VR ASC conj. her n Pluto (4)

° his VR Sun opposite her n Moon (1)
- they have the reversal one in natal synastry; her Sun opposite his Moon

° his VR Moon opposite her n Pluto exact

° his VR Sun p her n Moon (and opposite)

° his VR DESC p her n Sun
° his VR Venus p her n Sun
° his Vr Pluto cp her n Sun

° his Vr Jupiter p her n Juno

° his Vr Saturn p her n Pluto (0°01)
° hisVr Saturn p her n ASC
° his VR NN p her n ASC and n Pluto
° his Vr VX p her n DESC

° his Vr Juno p her n NN and n MC (her NN and mC are exact conjunct, too)

her VR to his natal
---------------------

° her VR Sun opposite his n (and VR) Venus (2)
° her VR Sun opposite hisn upiter wide (4)
° her VR Sun conjunct his n Pluto exact

° her Vr Jupiter conjunct his n Sun exact
° her VR Pluto conjunct his n Juno

° her VR MOon cp his n Pluto

° her R Veus p his n Satrn
° her VR Venus cp his n Neptune

° her VR Jupiter p his n Sun
° her VR Neptune p his n Sun

° her VR Pluto p his n Moon with only 3 minutes of orb

°her VR SN p his n Pluto

° her VR Juno p his n Saturn (2 minutes of orb)

Off the top of my head, I can think of two venus returns that had an impact on my life.

My Venus is at 21'26" Cap conjunct MC and Ceres.

The first one was in 2010. I was 22. There was a solar eclipse close to my Venus return. Two days later, I was moaning and crying about a lost love from my childhood. I hadn't thought about this guy in a long time. I enlisted another childhood friend to track him down. In hindsight, it's all pretty entertaining but back then it was serious business for me. I also met another guy 3 months later. That was probably my first real adult relationship.

The VR and eclipse were also conjunct my MC. I began working that year. For that VR, I can't distinguish between the differences of VR influence and solar eclipse influence.

The second VR I can recall having a direct impact was in the beginning of Dec 2013. There was a solar eclipse in my 7th house in November. I broke up with an on and off bf for another guy who was totally into me. Of course, Venus was dancing alll over doing her retrograde thing. So I'm not sure which one of the 3x counts as VR. Next guy and I didnt really go anywhere. I have theories about that, but it is unrelated to VR. Now my heart is detached enough to do sag things like "learn lessons" and "laugh about it." :-)

So... I guess you can say solar eclipses brought bullets into my life (the gun) and VRs were my triggers.

I was going to ask about that.

Where would you pinpoint a Retrograde?

It might be three different readings.

The last one is the one valid for the next year.

Though the zig-zagging before will have made itself felt, naturally.

Hi Ceridwen, just wanted to say thanks so much for all your input!!! I've always been curious to see the Venus Return patterns for when a couple gets married (especially a lasting marriage, 40 years is definitely significant!) Anyway, it's been a busy day and I'm just on my phone, but I'll come back later tonight once I'm able to get to a computer and look at all this... Thanks again!

Also thank you Elly for the offer, I've been able to generate the charts for the pas two years (which I kind of want to post later). I'd look at future VR charts too except I ideally don't want to be living in the same place so it would change all the houses...

Hey sag_stellium, sorry I somehow missed your post earlier.. But thanks for your input, and welcome to LL by the way!!

Eclipses are so fascinating.. I stopped paying attention because they've been hitting all up in my 5th and 11th houses which have been unfortunate themes for me lately, but eclipses really can add some valuable insight so thank you for sharing your story!

Also, my Sun is 21'12 Cap, so that's cool! It'll definitely be interesting to have transiting Pluto conjunct that... I'm curious what planets you have in your Sag stellium? I'm a Sag Moon and Merc but also have other random things in Sag like Vertex, Lilith, Juno.. Anyway, thanks again, and I agree sometimes things can be a disaster but laughter is usually the best medicine for Sags

Thanks for the welcome, Firemoon

In sag, I have Mercury 18, Eros 20, Sun 22'50", Saturn 23'50"-ish,Uranus at 26'30-ish, and... yea that's it

Haha I'm looking forward to that transit too, with just a bit of fear and a lot of preparation. We'll have Pluto, Saturn, Jupiter and then Mars transiting together for a few months over our little vulnerable planets. I can't recall the exact months. It will be serious (saturn), life changing (pluto), growth and fun (jupiter). But I like all 3 planets. I'm up for a little upheaval if it ends happily.

Yes, they are an encouraging example. Not just by the length they have been married, but for the fact they still love each other, still are very affectionate with each other, and enjoy spending time with each other (they are on holidays at the moment, and have just called they will extend their stay. lol).

Though growing up in this raises the bar of expectations to something that might be pretty impossible to find. lol

Not that all is always picture perfect between them. My Dad is an aquarius, my Mum a Scorpio. They DO debate. A LOT.
But they don´t play games with each other, maybe that is one of the secrets. I don`t know.

Anyway, just saying this to explain, that this is actually a working lasting marriage (I know of other long marriages, where people lead separate lives most of the times or cannot stand each other anymore but stay together out of habit - and this is not the case with my parents).

Thought of looking at another example.

My best friend has been maried for 9 years, and they have been in a relationship for 14 years, though have been friends before that.
Harmonious couple.

Anyway
looking up the VR for the year they got married

my friend`s VR
-----------------

° VR Venus conjunct VR MC exact - in Libra. lol Wow.

° VR VEnus and VR MC conjunct VR Jupiter by 2 degrees

° VR Venus trine VR Neptune, her MC-ruler

° VR Vertex conjunct VR Saturn in VR 7th house - Saturn rules her 7th and 8th house

Do I REALLY need to look any further? These are such strong indications already. lol

° interestingly VR Saturn was suaring VR Mars

Vor the links to her natal

° VR Moon conjuncts her n MC by four degrees

° VR Jupiter conjuncts her n Juno exact

(Wow, my parents had that, too!)

° VR Jupiter, VR Venus and VR MC also conjunct her natal Mercury-Venus-Mars-Pluto-Juno-conjunction in her 5th house

° VR SN conjunct n NN

° VR ASC connjunct n Neptune, her MC-ruler, exactly

------------------------------

her hsuband had these:

VR:

° VR Juno conjunct VR ASC EXACT (I swear it, I am never ever going to look at a chart without taking Juno into account. lol)

° VR Juno also sextile VR Moon exact

° VR Venus square VR Uranus looks weird I suppose

° Vr Venus trine VR Moon - Moon ruling his 7th house

° VR Sun conjunct VR Pluto - Sun ruling intercepted 7th house and VR DESC, Pluto ruling his MC

VR to his natal
----------------

° VR Neptune conjunct his n Moon - ruler of 7th

° VR Jupiter opposite his n Jupiter exactly - important as his natal Jupiter conjuncts my friend`s Moon exact

° VR Mars conjunct Venus widely (8 degrees)

Ok I'm sorry for taking so long to get back to this thread.. I've wanted to respond to all this but just feel like I'm still such an amateur lol. Ceridwen, I appreciate you posting all the aspects, it's nice to be able to learn from real examples! And some of those connections really are amazing! Your dad's VR Venus conjunct Juno, and Merc-Jupiter conjunct your mom's VR DSC definitely shows it... And your friend's VR MC conjunct Venus in Libra is very fitting lol. Seems like the angles and ruler of natal DSC are really important.

And it's great that your parents still have that kind of marriage after so long... I can see what you mean about raising the bar though. I think it's possible to find but very rare lol. Being able to debate and communicate openly while still respecting each other seems to be the key though, which Scorpio and Aqua can probably pull of nicely. What are their moon signs?

Anyway, I was also gonna say that's very interesting about the Venus return on your composite. I'd never thought of that but it could definitely be significant... If the Venus is 16 Cap, I wonder what'll happen when transiting Pluto hits that, maybe you'll get to know each other on a much deeper level lol

Haha nice! What house is that in for you? And have you ever had strong synastry on that point? I knew someone whose Venus conjuncts my sun/moon midpoint (also happens to conjunct my Part of Marriage) and yeah pretty sure I'll never be fully "over it" lol

No problem And that's cool, my moon is 7 Sag, Lilith 18 Sag, Merc 28 Sag...

Ugh yeah I feel like I'll have to do a lot of preparing while Saturn is in Sag. Seems like there won't be much of catching a break though since Pluto and eventually Saturn first have to conjunct my DSC, and shortly after Pluto hits my Sun I'll be having my Saturn return (26 Cap). Which for you will happen in reverse... So it'll be sink or swim but yeah I agree I'm up for the challenge and transformation as long as the end results are worth it...

By Venus Return do you mean the yearly transit over the natal position? Or the 8th year return, when she & the Sun return to their natal positions on your birthday??

By the second definition you should experience your Venus Return every eight years - 8, 16, 24, 32, etc...This is after Venus makes a beautiful five petal rose pattern in the sky.

It's the only significant thing I've seen in the Solar Return Chart, but twice within a Venus cycle (eight years) I experience a conjunction of Sun & Venus in my SR chart. These are generally romantic, fortuitous years for me. Most people experience one conjunction or just a return to the natal position, but as I was born close to when Venus makes one of her retrogrades, the Sun-Venus conjunction in my SR chart happens every four years.
