Mars squares my asc, I stand up for my rights, I don't let anyone dominate or take advantage of me, I'm not a passive damsel in distress. Even though my mars is in cancer retrograde and opposite Neptune I do this passive aggressively, but I still let my point be known that I will not be cheated on or treated like dirt. I have mars bq asc and i never used to stand up for myself until a few years ago when i finally snapped and decided thats it! Im done letting people walk all over me! Now im not afraid to put someone in their place and stick up for myself. I have mars in 8th house gemini and scorp asc. I know exactly what to do and say to get people to back the hell away from me. I can be pretty harsh, but only when its called for and i feel that they truly deserved it. As for being dominated, i think its entertaining when someone tries doing that to me, cause they don't know what type of a person i am  definitely not a damsel in distress either lol.Do you feel that people are constantly challenging you? I have mars sq asc in the third house and i feel very similar to how lioninash does, but i used to think that part was due to a sq to mars from chiron (being walked over, not standing up for myself etc). I find that mars sq asc gives a bit of an "edgy" uneasyness in my vibe towards people like they think I am competing with them or that I am being on the offense when I am just being myself. It also seems to come off as abrasive and lacking in grace at times (mars in aries). I grew up with boys as a kid (mars in 3rd) and so I have a natural sort of tomboyishness to my personality that seems to conflict with my appearance when people think im so poised and elegant as a cap asc, they don't naturally expect the stuff that ends up coming out of my mouth or the way that I behave at times and this puts them off.IP: Logged |

I have Mars in 12th house conjunct ASC and Neptune in 1st house conjunct ASC. And Mars and Neptune conjunct each other, too, actually ASC is on the exact Mars/neptune-mp.I never considered myself as assertive or argumentative, though I *can* be if I want to defend, protect or care for someone else.
I was always a shy girl during school, but once I had the idea that my class should give all the money, we made on a school-fleamarket, to an organization that cares for children who have Cancer. None of my schoolmates were too thrilled with the idea of giving money away; however my classteacher made me stand up in class and asked me to give my arguments. And somehow I slid into some kind of speech I suppose, and by the end of it I had the opinion of most swayed, and as a result we WERE giving a large amount of money to this organization. THAT pretty much sums up Mars-Neptune for me. Not for myself, but for others, I can be assertive, yes.
though my family, especially my brothr claims, I can be very assertive and argumentative.
Maybe I can`t see it in myself, but others do. lol
Oh and even though I have never considered myself as openly assertive, I have always "walked to my own drum" and it is a difficult task to dominate me. Won`t happen.
People have tried though.

I have Mars trine Asc, and my experiences are pretty similar. I've never had an issue with standing up for myself, but usually do so in a diplomatic manner.The Pluto in 1st house transit I have is really making things interesting though.....really getting challenged to not snap back at people in anger. I have Mars trine Ascendant...it is actually a part of a grand air trine and a fire-air kite. I'd say I only stand up for myself when I think it's right to do so. I know I won't always be right, so sometimes I can be passive. But with my Leo sun, no one almost ever dares to step on me like a doormat. Plus, I'm really nice, so only idiots would even dare to use me. I'd screw them real bad if they ever try.IP: Logged |
