I have Gemini moon. Sometimes I wish that I had an off switch for it. It's completely overwhelming. My mind always goes in so many directions and needs to learn. It needs to analyze, even things that should not be analyzed. It can keep me up at night, distract me during conversation. It can kill passion where passion should be set free. I do feel passion, particularly in my love life. Otherwise it can be squashed sometimes with thought. My moon is also in the 9th. Mercury is in Virgo, conjunct Mars and square moon so perhaps that adds a lot to it. Are any other Gemini moons overwhelmed by it sometimes? It's great at my work. A technical job And I learn SO fast. IP: Logged |

Yeah, it keeps me up at night for sure. Cannot stop thinking. But I for some reason wouldn't know how it would be without this constant mental activity all the time. Sometimes I go crazy because I am super energized with it. I start doing some crazy, weird things like random, internal outbursts and other odd things, lol. Like your Virgo Mercury, my 3rd House Mercury adds to it. Maybe even my Virgo Sun to some extent, since it's ruled by Mercury. Uranus in the 6th is another kind of, electric, mental placement because it affects my natural tendency for daily affairs. It squares my Mercury. Radical mental activity daily, lol. I feel like I'm generalizing and stereotyping this Moon placement, but this is really what happens to me. IP: Logged |

Really? LOL. That's cool Because it's hard to stop a Lunar Gemini from doing this stuff, like really, lol. One thing that annoys me about this placement is that I get bored super easily. I have to be listening to music constantly while doing something else to be "at least" satisfied. I wish I can listen to music and talk to people at once. I mean, I can do that, but then the music will have to be low in order to understand what they're saying. And that kinda ruins it for me, lol. IP: Logged |

Exactly, it's hard not to multitask even just for entertainment. I listen to music to help me sleep because the silence drives me nuts. I use headphones though so it doesn't disturb others. IP: Logged |

I feel as though I can't function without multi-tasking. I also love how fast I learn. It's great. The downfall besides lack of sleep to me is the feeling that others cannot keep up mentally - as if what most of what I am saying is going over their head or I am talking too fast. I'm not sure if the sun (Virgo- ha more mercury) square moon makes this part harder than it should be. IP: Logged |

My Moon is in Taurus, but its in the 3rd House (the gemini house)along with Gemini Mars. I also have all the Aqua and Uranus energy to deal with, so its safe to say my mind is racing 24/7. I am disorganized, a major procrastinator, and have a crappy short term memory because i'm constantly taking in new information or getting distracted. On the other hand I also have my 12th house Sun and mercury conjunct neptune causing me to zone out at random times. Sometimes I can be posting on here, having a conversation with a friend, and watching tv or listening to music simultaneously and sometimes i will randomly zone out of a conversation and when I snap out of it i will realize that the person was talking to me for 10 minutes and they get really annoyed when i say " what were you saying?" Yea my mind is an interesting place. LolIP: Logged |

I will consider myself an Honorary Gemini Moon-God Bless My Soul and Everyone Elseīs, as I have a Draconic and a progressed one. I also know 4 Gemini Moons.1: ALL are extremely kind albeit slightly sarcastic and/or witty. 2: ALL are extremely active in their lives whether it being sports or socializing. 3: ALL are very intelligent (yes, I am bragging about my own IQ ) And in general I find them very helpful and caring actually. Only thing I DO NOT like is the interest level and its on/off switch....that thing flashes like a lightbulb on LSD... The ones I know have a Pisces Sun (2), Libra Sun (very very very very intelligent guy), Scorpio Sun. I am a Cancer. IP: Logged |

What you described above has more to do with your Virgo Mercury (the way you think)/Mars(the way you act). While reading the first paragraphs (and the last relating to you work) - was actually wondering if you have some strong Virgo placements - cause what you described sounds a lot like that. As for the Moon - think about your emotional nature (how you feel about something or someone) - about your emotional drives(how you act on a emotional level). For example - do you have bipolar tendencies (that sounds a lot like a Gemini Moon)? IP: Logged |

I can't stand Gemini moons and you know what's even worse??? I just met up with my "best friend" in high school after not having seen her for over 20 years. We used to get into A LOT of trouble and were bad bad bad for eachother. I run her chart and yep-i-di-do, she has a Gemini Moon :-/ They are intelligent though. BUT, I have worked on my Virgo and have managed to atleast find some resemblance to "I kinda like them" with the Moon people. Anyway, bless my soul either way And yours too! I'm happy today. Actually I can handle one of my placements being not liked unlike many on this forum it would seem... What don't you like about them? I'm simply curious. Not to make some argument about why you should. lol It's nice to get perspectives.

I donīt like indivuduals that are "lucid" or transparent. It makes me uncomfortable to not have depth. Not saying Gems don't have depth..but the Moons are tricky fish. To compare-I am VERY Virgo/Mercurial but most is internalized. Gem Moons, and Gemini in general, ACT on this which makes them hard to get to know on a deeper level. Pluto is square my whole bloody chart though so I NEEEEED deep and depthly depths or I will feel lost... I knew it was all Plutos fault IP: Logged |

I find Gemini Moons hard to deal with on a personal level at times, either from personal experience or just from watching them interact in their relationships. <ETA> I should add here that this is my experience with my ex, my mother in-law, and my brother in-law. They can all be very gossipy or just confused in general about their loyalties. You don't seem to have that problem. As friends, I don't mind this placement. It's more difficult with family members and significant others (coming from a Pisces perspective, of course). My Aqua Mercury always finds them very clever and funny. I think that it can cause some conflict between wanting emotional space and not too much depth, and the Moon's natural inclination to have emotional closeness. Gem Moon people often seem to be in a tug of war with themselves, in my experience. Mostly due to what I just described, as far as the desire for emotional closeness, but emotional freedom at the same time. But it's good that it's at least complimentary with your Sun sign, and you have a Libra to appreciate it. And yeah, they're always quick to grasp concepts and learn, so that's always a great thing. And as a Virgo Moon, I happen to think that over-analyzing emotions is perfectly fine. IP: Logged |

Thanks for the feedback! When people just go, "OMG Gemini moons are so _____". It's like, ooooookay. This is cool. Gem moon is one of the more unpopular placements. I understand it and I understand why, but it's my moon. IP: Logged |

I actually don't understand why it's an unpopular placement - maybe because I have my Venus conjunct.I used to crave emotional depth, but also didn't find it so easy to open up. I felt the need to be emotionally self-sufficient, and to deal with things on my own. Now I'm too much the opposite - I want to get back to that. I did realize, several years back, how it could prevent the deepening of friendships (let alone anything romantic/love-related). I used to be called "mysterious" and I hated it. i would think, "I just told them what's going on in my life, why do they keep calling me that???" I didn't have much going on, so I guess they thought I was keeping a lot more to myself. I like your post, Violet - thanks for that. I keep thinking about that: how I thought it would be wrong to inflict my personal problems on other people, and now I have trouble shutting up about them, like something was just bursting to get out. I don't think it's a lack of depth - I've actually been told that I'm "deep" (I will admit, it made me laugh, because I was surprised - I'm not aiming to be "deep" or anything, really). I am scattered mentally, and miss being focused - I used to focus my attention on reading and creative projects. I feel less intelligent than I used to, but I've heard that traumatic situations can do that to a person - I feel brain-dead half the time now. I love to read, love to learn, and hate to feel useless, but I also love to just putter around at times (I have Mars in Pisces square that Moon/Venus).

@TeaselThanks for the response! I agree, I don't lack depth at all either. In past relationships I've been called cold, and "mean" which I really didn't understand. I think they said that because I would get cold in some situations which they took as not caring. It can zap my passion, which in love relationships, well with Barbie there is plenty of passion. Some others it's like I WANTED to feel it, (venus square neptune?) but I just didn't. Friends often see me as entertaining, yet calm when disaster strikes. I can be very difficult to excite, yet very witty and joking. Sextile Leo sun probably adds a bit of warmth. What I find is that I bounce around mentally. I want to study and research like 3-4 topics at once. As in read two or three paragraphs at the same time, which I can't do. LOL I find reading a book impossible. I give it about 30 seconds to 1 minute and I'm done. I get bored if it doesn't grab me right away. I think the last one was "A Child Called It". I guess my personal complaint with my own moon sign is how it bounces around. I can certainly see how it's maddening for S.O. Luckily, she has Libra moon which I think one - can keep up and two - balances that flip/flop that Gem moon does. IP: Logged |

I don't think Gem moon is a curse...its true we can be up-n-down with our interest levels, and we do overthink things a lot. But as a moon placement, it is (in my opinion) one of the better ones for emotions. I can never stay sad for too long, because my Gem moon won't let me =) There is a dark side (edgy humor, over exaggeration, white lies etc - although obviously these don't apply to everybody), but in general I find it to be a nice breezy placement; kind of like Sag or Leo moon but less fiery/innocent; more thinking/calculating. I have a Gemini moon in 9th too! I am exactly the same. Sometimes I am gently just rubbing my daughters back and I can't even do it calmly. I feel nervous and edgy in my own skin. I hate being restless. I have Virgo rising as well. I can't hold a conversation without cutting people off and switching topics. I need to go go go. But if I am pushed to rush I put the brakes on because I feel overwhelmed by someone else's "rush" I get bored way too easily. I'm a very passionate person but sometimes I wonder if the other person can feel my passion because I can't endure it long enough for the other person to feel me feel it. IP: Logged |
