If you do what do you use? Incense? Crystals? Nothing? I usually meditate and use crystals and bathe with Epsom salts and flower petals and light candles It's been too cold here to do anything outdoors so I'm excited for warmer weather so I can meditate outside I would love to hear what others do as I am fairly new to it IP: Logged |

why would anyone want to do rituals for the Moon? Why not go to the direct source who created the planets? IP: Logged |

More like Moon Rituals do me.I'm always aware of the Moon energies. Certainly She has a way of making Herself felt. Probably why the instruments of the High Priest's Vestment included the Urim and Thummim. (Lights and Perfections) The Lights being the Sun and Moon. IP: Logged |

as the weather gets warmer i would like to get into doing some sort of moon ritual as well. i have always felt her energy on days of full moons or when it is waxing. on days of the full moon i feel a confidence in myself i never feel on other days. i think im going to start meditating. but i cant really meditate just yet, i dont like sitting still. the point of meditation is to live in the moment and forget about everything else, just be one with what is. whatever you do that lets you feel that, is meditation. ------------------ Sun Aries Moon Pisces Mars Pisces Venus Pisces Mercury Aries Jupiter in Virgo Saturn in Aquarius Pluto in Scorpio Neptune and Uranus in Capricorn Ascendant Libra IP: Logged |

Why wouldn't you do a ritual for something that is older, wiser and more powerful than you? Even if it is not the most powerful entity it is still worthy of ritual, and not to mention the divine feminine is the most neglected part of our solar system. Anyway where I live I know a lady who is a Reiki master/yoga teacher and she holds monthly new moon circles for women at her house. I haven't been to one but I recieve the monthly emails, seems like its a circle of women obviously who discuss the new moon and the sign its occurring in, how its affecting them, they do a little journalling/meditation and some sort of ritual designed specifically for that new moon (on the last one I know some seeds were planted.) Seems like a nice idea. I'm a bit more solitary myself. I think she started it through this: http://thewildwomanproject.com/ Not entirely sure how I feel about it myself (the wild woman project itself, not moon rituals which I think are great) but it seems like a positive venture and relevant to the topic. Full Moon rituals/circles would be awesome too IP: Logged |

What? Haha. The Moon is our closest body and rules everything sacred on Earth, water, nature. The Moon is our connection to astrology and even nature, we wouldn't have life without the Moon. Though i agree with the Sun being used in meditation, Sol or Sirius. IP: Logged |

I always do new and full moon rituals. New moon is my favorite for manifesting. I think it's important to recognize the moon and her energy/influence on us! IP: Logged |

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jIAxfXq9XgA I put this link in not only to point out the Isis/Osiris link, but because I played this song as a Full Moon Ritual for many years. It was actually recorded only on Full Moon nights, and I greatly respect the people who performed it. The first song; which I did not put on it, is Om Namah Shivaya, and it is beautiful and Awesome to look to the East and see that lovely Magnified Body of Light rise from the Earth while listening to it. Magnificent! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ygGJkHiiGyQ "Lunar Musick Suite" (Steve Hillage) The Silver Moon is rising in the Sky Isis is falling, Osiris The Tides are rising in our Hearts and Minds Lover and Beloved are One And so we find the Source of Inspiration Born of the Starlight The Golden Pyramid opens up so all of us can see The way to be, The way to see the Energy All we need to know The Ebb and Flow, our lives Aglow It's Glowing... The Spark of Light inside of us is Glowing The Moon is Full Tonight.

Back when I meditated with the moon I preferred nature (save when bugs were bad, though I could use a tent, and inside also worked). Waxing was for creating/building, Waning was for deconstructing/tearing down, New Moon was for introspection and where one comes from (and possibly ancestors) and the full moon where one was headed and the purpose of life and maybe even a sort of divine communion. The type of shamanism I learned also had a difference between the underworld and spirit world which I equated with new and full moon respectively, though many (new agers) have a different understanding of shamanism than I do. Sentimentally I've always loved the waxing crescent moon best (and kinda reminds me of the Cheshire Cat grin). I found out later that was where the moon was when I was born, though I don't know if that's why I instinctively loved it the best. IP: Logged |

LOL @ some of these answers.I was looking for this info so thought I would share what I found… Here is a free PDF of Diane Ahlquist’s Moon Spells. There is also a popular Wicca website with rituals I believe. Did Linda have any moon ritual guidance? I used to write my intentions for the sign of each new moon and for each house of mine that it fell in, but it was very time-consuming. Even though I stopped doing them consciously, sometimes I realize after the fact that I did set an intention or meditate on one of those topics. Does anyone here do any moon rituals? IP: Logged |

This thread is funny. I used to do a tarot reading with my faeries oracle. I can’t remember if it was the new or full moon, but I think the reading had different phases as the card placements. I’ll see if I can find it later. I need sleep. IP: Logged |

I switch it up a lot but I try to always charge my rocks on the new and full moons. I cleanse them the night before. This was my first time cleansing rocks by burying them in the earth. Some of the jewelry was offered in a "money bowl" to Satan. When I unburied my necklace out the ground a small patch of grass was moving around weird by it. I kind of looked around the yard and shrugged, and went back in the house. I also went out to eat with my friend we got hibachi. We then went in a witch craft store. I finally bought Satanic books, I got my friend I'm visiting next week bath salts, a room spray for intuition, and a gold and silver candle. IP: Logged |
