Quick question..just wondering for those who have a very deep knowledge of astrology and can almost predict things..do you use it as a guide sometimes to help with decisions? Have you ever chose NOT to do something or get involved with someone because of an aspect? I know we have free-will..but I must say the deeper I go down the rabbit hole and look at my past experiences through the lens of astrology..I could have saved myself some of the pain I've experienced...case in point...the very *brief* relationship I had recently had a mars sq uranus aspect in the davison chart.

I'm wondering had I known about that and knew what that aspect would mean for a relationship..would I have pushed forward? It's one of those questions that will never be answered unfortunately. But I think from now on, depending on what it is I am going to take a little longer to make a decision and thoroughly think things through before hitting the yes button lol

No, I don’t use astrology to make decisions but it is very accurate. If I know everything about how a relationship will unfold, how things will manifest in my life, then what’s the point of living? lol, would be too boring. So I’ve stopped looking at upcoming transits, progressions, synastry, etcetera, etcetera. I believe all of us display the traits shown in our natal chart when we are very young. But they are slowly modified by social conditionings and all the other things as life goes on. Some aspects or placements remain dormant because of these factors. Using free will is supposedly very difficult. It ain’t that free. You have to live very consciously, moment to moment in the present if you really want to use free will. Otherwise your past determines your future, which is what astrology is based on.

No. There are simply too many possible interpretations of an aspect and too many possible outcomes.
It is so easy to be smart in hindsight and see what you should have done, but that is only based on the fact that you have lived it and now you know.

Well one thing is for sure, I have learned a LOT about myself since I started seriously studying it. So I guess while I'm not able to prevent things. I can learn from my mistakes & not do them again.

Astrology is great.

But I never used to worry about Mercury retrograde or solar eclipses etc (or to be excited about some transits) before I read about their astrological impacts. Knowing and thinking a lot about astrology can also hinder you from living freely. It is both good and bad, there needs to be a balance. At least that's my experience.
