EROS, PSYCHE, VENUS or MARS (as well as any major personal point or significant asteroid) there activates that energy. The orb, however, must be very close. No more than 3º.

You think? Reading around gave me the impression midpoints are very important in synastry.

But doesn't it represent something? Like a point of meeting in someone's personality? Meeting between 2 energies? And a planet conjuncts it, it means that it activates the meeting and the harmony between these 2 planets?

I posted before, asking about the significance of a planet conjuncting a midpoint of squaring planets, and how it should help the native deal with inner conflicts.

We just recently discussed the MP on my thread on Twin Flames.

Here's from the article I cited by Kim Falconer:

I get the feeling that with the Eros/Psyche midpoint that it isn't so much a matter of what is expressed but a matter of what is awakened.

Eros is a disembodied spirit until we transforms, through his relationship with psyche, into a spirit with an earthly soul.

Psyche is mortal, and in that unable to unite with 'spirit' until she transforms (though her erotic adventures with Eros) into an earthly soul immortal. The midpoint is like the point of that transformation. When it is activated, the energy or Eros transformed and Psyche transformed rises up into consciousness, if we let it.

It's not a breeze. It's more a gale!

The union of Psyche and Eros has many components: Jealousy, rapture, anger, resentment, longing, despair....much happens before they are blessed by Aphrodite and united. Very much.
