Do you find you naturally have bad luck in love, or you really have to work to find a healthy relationship with a quality person? (The women especially, but Gemini men feel free to jump in too!)

I am 36 years young and I have only ever been in one relationship. I had met a woman during my teenage years, had children with her, and then we married. Unfortunately, the marriage didn't work out and divorce was inevitable.

I have been single since that divorce, back in 2005. Yet, it is more of my choosing then anything else. I refuse to walk that path again, I refuse to be drug through another divorce. I will not allow myself to be belittled, beaten, battered, or betrayed again.

I will continue to look for the right girl, rather then keep going through the right now girl.

^ Interesting. My friend (a Gemini woman) and I were talking about signs, etc. and we just think Gemini women have the worst luck in love. I guess the book Sextrology also says that? But Gemini men don't and usually find what they're looking for so I wondered what the difference was aside from genders.

Honestly, I'm a male Gemini but I've yet to even come close to finding what I'm looking for. Yet I am not like most normal male Gemini's.

However, Gemini's both male and female, are very light hearted, free-spirited, adaptable, and very intuitive. These are very wonderful traits to have, but it leaves us vulnerable to people whom would take advantage of it.

The Geminian woman, I think, would be even more at risk of being taken advantage of because of their adaptability and their Geminian mutability.

My advice for Gemini woman is to not give out trust so easily.

Or an Aries woman.. *blush*

Yeah I've seen Gemini men are more stubborn and traditional than Gemini women too (your adamance -sp? reminded me of that.)

You are an Aries lady? I hear tale of these ladies being the fairest in all the zodiac.

Does this hold true?

Okay.. I've explored a lot to get over love.

I'm pretty I've tried every type fish in the god damn ocean..
Realized only one person is right for me.. and I can only have these feelings for so I've given resisting even though there are complications... Complications where anyone my age would not be cool with.
But if you think about it if love is so easy and perfect than why is it so special.. ?

Anyways I don't think Gemini's get over their first love.. if they happen to fall in love ever that is...

I know my mom still has affections for her first love and I don't she's romantically fulfilled in her marriage because of that...
We're really similar in that way....but I'm not going to make the same mistake as her.

It's hard because we don't want to give all of ourselves to someone, we still want independence but idk it never really works like that with love..

I think that's why we drift a lot because either we have affections for someone we can't have or it's just never worked out. I know Gemini's that are in on and off relationships like myself.
but for Gemini the concept of rebound is as old as time... 0_0...
Like every other relationship was a rebound LOL...

My gemini venus can make me seem a lot less Tauren despite having mercury, mars, and sun occupy my fourth house in taurus.

Point being, gemini influence can shake things up a bit either via SUN or personal planet.

. I have been in a serious long term relationship only once. (I'm 30). It takes alot to hold my interest and i usually go for aquarians..why? They're unconventional, smart and can be detached and therefore challenging. Perfect for my curious VENUS in GEMINI.. I have fallen in love 3 times though...2 out of 3 with Aquarians.

It's reaaaaalllly hard to find a mate that is captivating enough to
a) not become annoyed with
b) be mentally AND physically attracted to, and I mean really intellectually stimulating. That always comes first for geminis.
And lastly...
c) that is exciting! Boring? Yuck. Please be interesting. Lol.

Looks like I need to tap into my cancer DC. Anyway.

I think that a Gemini's free independent spirit plays a part too. I have been independent for so long, I have actually grown to I joy it. However, if I ever met that right girl, she would be given my world.

I think I view love a lot differently then most people.

Well speaking from a male perspective I have found that Gemini women are nearly impossible to connect with. Which is odd because I have gemini mars and it would be conjunct any early Gemini planets. Gemini also takes up my 4th and 5th houses ,which is also good for romance. That is not even mentioning the fact that I have aqua placements which trine gemini placements. All of this and I have never been involved with a gemini woman or felt any sort of connection to one. I find them forgettable. I find it much easier to connect with libra women.

Hmmm.. Could be.
The first two relationships were with Geminis.
The second one. I was her first love. She pursued me for months and we stayed together for quite a while until I broke up.
Despite her new husband forbidding her from having contact with me because he knew she still loved me. She did anyway... For 10 years!
Just once or twice a year or she would contact my mom to ask about me.
The conversations were innocent.
A few years ago she said, "I think about you more than any married woman should."
I didn't know how to react. I kinda just blew it off. I didn't want any part of that.
That was our last conversation.

Well if I don't say so myself! I have Gemini rising conjunct Mars in Gemini though, so I relate to Geminis woes it seems. And Aries (well, especially considering my Sun, Mercury, and Venus stellium in the 11H)

I can't describe what Gemini on the 4th and 5th house cusp would entail, but I had a thought you might prefer Libra women because of your Taurus moon. You come off very mellow and Taurean, plus there's Venus as a commonality.

I have a Gemini sun and Jupiter in Gemini. Everything else is Pisces and Taurus.

The 4th and 5th houses are supposed to be good for romantic synastry. When someones planets fall in your 4th house they may literally feel like home. At the very least you may feel really comfortable around them. When someones planets fall in your 5th house you have a lot of fun with that person and they bring out your inner child.

Hmm the 4th house. I see what you're saying, I'm just trying to think how that incorporates with the MC since I thought we're supposed to be moving away from acting like our IC. I guess it doesn't matter if it's your planets falling in THEIR 4th house since it affects the house person more.

Jupiter in the 8th… okay, makes sense now. In traditional astrology the sign of Jupiter is said to be a woman's husband. I tend to not follow astrology guidelines though, so I rounded that out to mean Jupiter stands for marriage, or anybody's spouse… with your Jupiter being in the 8th house (Scorpio and Pluto's natural house) and Mercury being the only planet in the 7th, it just makes sense to me why you've been married only once and won't settle for any less afterwards.

I can't do the divorce scenario again. It might sound like an overstatement when I say the last one nearly killed me, but I'm really not exaggerating.

ASC in Scorpio, Moon in Pisces and Venus in Taurus - I'm not surprised.

Jupiter in the 8th house of death. Jupiter ruling the Law. The 8th house meaning death and rebirth…

interesting to apply a divorce to that placement. Never would have thought of it otherwise.

I would have stayed with her forever, I was born to be with just one woman my entire life. I've honestly known that my whole life. Unfortunately, she didn't share that with me.

I'm a Gemini sun n mercury.
If u ask me it's not easy being in a relationship...love needs loads of effort and not being me!! esp if the partner is a Taurus/Pisces dominant type. It works better if the partner were to be Aries /Leo dominant type. I can be more of myself around fire dominant guys nit just love interest type of relationship even simple friendship.
The reason could be I see the former type to be secretive/clingy/too possessive/insecure. Even though they might behave like the man's man type around others with their love interest they are not open about their feelings. Its like u r walking on thin ice and u can't afford to get their feelings misunderstood.
Whereas with fire dominant guys they are aggressive and don't mind if u r independent/career oriented etc.

Don't get married then. There are women who are not interested in this but want a long term relationship. Good luck.

Actually, if I feel that I couldn't marry her, then chances are I won't even be in a long term relationship with her. I'd much rather walk my road alone then to try and force a fake love.
