Empowered by Pluto? I don't think so. But I'd say that I definitely have Plutonic traits. I'm often told that I have an intriguing, intense, and sometimes intimidating presence. I don't see it...I'm just a shy, sometimes insecure, Virgo after all. My thinking is quite Plutonic though. I don't look at surfaces. I always know there are deeper and deeper levels that can probed. If it's hidden, I want to uncover it, and I rarely take what I'm told at face value. But will I be empowered by Pluto? I can hope so. Pluto transit is about to trine my natal Sun. With retrogrades it will be a few year affair. I need to take advantage of this as a time for positive transformation...take Pluto by the horns. I've become fascinated with transits of the outer planets because they really are once in a lifetime events. Uranus is in my 8th opposing Jupiter & Mercury. Neptune in my 7th just finishing a conjunction with my DSC, and Pluto in my 5th with the Solar trine. IP: Logged |

Pluto first house conjunct asc. I'm with you. I don't feel empowered. If someone else feels that way about me I couldn't say. I definitely have plutonic tendencies. Which is not always nice to have but yes, I love to dig into the human psyche, motivations, feelings, etc. I often try to see into people via their eyes. I can't help it. Yet, I'm still all the other things in my chart. IP: Logged |

So you are saying you don't really trust with Pluto in first. I am kinda like that with a natal eighth house Hades moon. I am always questioning everything and doubt information. I see it as flawed. Everyone's thinking is flawed to me, including my own, because the senses cannot be trusted. To me, that's a Plutonian way of thinking. I have some Plutonic intensity about me as well. I am quite capable of intimidating others. When I was younger, not so much. Now I am able to for some reason. It's like I am making up for what I lacked so much before. IP: Logged |

I don't know I'd call it a lack of trust as much as I'd frame it as I just KNOW there's something more or it's something else. Additionally Scorpio is in my 3rd house, which affects how I think. Then there's the Mars - Pluto square. I can't say that I intend to intimidate, but since I know I can, I've used it at what I thought were appropriate times. It's just that I'm VERY hard to read...from my facial expressions, body language, what I say and don't say. This in itself causes discomfort in people, who naturally like some certainty. Add to this my tendency to probe them while giving up precious little about myself.* Even from a distance (apparently) I look intense and "smolder". This is funny, because I am a very hot person. I'm not saying I'm sexy, but literally hot. Handshake or hug, I'm hot to the touch. People comment if they sit in a chair that I had just been in. I fog the windows next to me in cars. Etc. *Back to the Sun in the 1st house, If I decide to open up however, I talk about me, me, me. IP: Logged |

I do the same thing! I talk about myself too much. I know it probably irritates people. They think I am full of myself.

^^^All this I completely relate to. -Pluto in 1st -Moon trine Pluto -Venus in 8th I'm not afraid of my Plutonic tendencies. I actually embrace them. I love to get at a person's core...to probe my OWN core even!! Sometimes people are indeed intimidated by me - both genders. But other times, they approach & talk to me rather easily. They're like DYING to have me as their best buddy -- Libra ASC they're seeing. It's hilariously interesting from day to day!

SSS: You've just been through your Pluto Sun trine, right? What did you learn? What are your thoughts on the outer planet transits...especially the Pluto - Sun trine? It's also interesting that these outer planets are in what I call the personal relationship houses. IP: Logged |

Pluto is leaving the trine now. It was trining for a long time and could again if it retrogrades. It was also conjunct the IC throughout the exact trine. Last year, I was in a huge tornado and Pluto was trine the sun, then. My home didn't get obliterated though. Maybe because a trine was involved? It came very close.

I also have a tight Pluto sextiles with my Moon trine Neptune. I'm not afraid of my Plutonic tendencies, but I don't really embrace them either...my Mars is square Pluto, and I understand Pluto's dark side. IP: Logged |

So you experienced the dark side of the square? I also have it and Mars rules my seventh.

Mars is in your 7th? you must have very disproportionate houses. Pluto's dark side...I've been through unimaginable rages...like a shark who smells blood and cannot stop. And periods of very dark, obsessive, and nihilistic thinking. This is why I'm wanting to be empowered by Pluto rather than overpowered by it...a Phoenix that rises from the ashes. I have a lot of hope with this transit...I'm also curious what's in store for my 5th house. IP: Logged |

Mars rules my seventh and is in my third. My houses are really nice and even, very symmetrical. What you described sounds a lot like a depressive state and I recall you mentioning bipolar depression. I have experienced it somewhat, but not enough for diagnosis. I have really experienced the depressive part the most, and was diagnosed with ADHD at age three. How close is your square. Mine is about five degrees separating, so it's not a really close orb. I have quintiles to Mars from ascendant, Mercury and Jupiter. It is mostly void of any major aspects. Yours is probably much like mine with the square and a bit wider orb to Pluto and that's all? Mars might be out of orb for the quintiles in your chart since those require really close orbs.

SSS:I imagine our Plutos are nearly identical placements and Mars a few degrees off from each other. I'm 24 Vir 32' and 21 Sag 52' respectively...so about 3 degrees applying. I'd think your's would be applying too? Shrinks kinda suck. She's all worried about me becoming manic, but I keep telling her that's the fun part. Sure I end up in other cities, spending thousands of dollars, and engaging in questionable behavior, but that beats the mixed states where you're manic and depressed at the same time. That's where the nihilistic rages come into play. Anyway, anti-convulsants are my friend. PS. I figured my I had the tighter Mars-Pluto square and you had the tighter Venus-Saturn square...dear gods, no one should have the latter one! IP: Logged |

That's right, lol. I forgot the square is applying! I have Mars at roughly 19 degrees Sagittarius. So yours is a little closer at 21 degrees. Your Venus could be closer to a square with Saturn. Mine is at 5 Leo. Is yours around 7? Saturn is at 9 or 10 Taurus? What about your Mercury/Jupiter? Is the conjunction close to being exact? Jupiter is at 8 while Mercury is at 6. There's something like a degree and a half separating them. You might have moon square the Libra stellium? The moon trines some of it in my chart. It's approaching Gemini.IP: Logged |

I have Venus at 11 Leo 5' and Saturn at 8 Tau 41' . So it sounds like our orbs are similar, but I'm separating. My Jupiter is 9 Lib 30' and Merc is 11 Lib 11'.......expansive thinking. IP: Logged |

Pluto definitely induces an all-encompassing, all-knowing sense into whatever area it touches. Not in the Jupiterian all-knowing way, but in an integral, fundamental all-knowing way that doesn't have to explain itself, it simply is.I personally have Venus conj Pluto and have such a high degree of unparalleled objectivity and "power" in social situations... it's tough to articulate, it's more something you need to feel irl. How fittingly Plutonian. IP: Logged |
