If for ex. a person has a difficult natal chart with venus square uranus or moon square venus (hard time with commitment)
But he/she meets a person they have the "perfect" synastry with which is exactly what they need in a partner and so on, would that be more important for long-therm commitment and their compatibility than their bad natal aspects?

It could also be the other way around where the person has a very stable natal chart, and finds someone they have a very unstable synastry chart that seems to not be what they need at all?

My guess is you can't have a great synastry with a difficult natal - say person A's Moon would be conjunct B's Sun, but A's Moon also squares her Pluto, and B's Sun would also receive that square, and so on.
The other way around would be simpler, if the synastry doesn't work, then it doesn't work.

True. There's multiple angles that can aspect from.
Plus if it's a loose Natal square a conjunction in synastry a few degrees away could just miss the square.
Things like that.

You can have great synastry with a difficult natal. It can inspire the most amazing of emotions. It doesn't diminish the inherent problems in the natal chart.

But, like any other couple you will eventually have problems. If it gets too difficult and you feel a strong disconnect, betrayal, pain, etc, the natal behavior will start taking over. The urge to leave/stay/abuse/help/hurt but stay anyway/leave at the first sign of trouble play out as a combination of who we are and who we become around others.
