Found this:

Mercury.—This is the orthodox ruler. It signifies the versatile energy of the Son of Mind, the soul. It is interchangeable for the Sun (Son) and stands for the Mediator or intermediary, between the Father and the Mother, between Spirit and Matter, and yet is the result of the union of these two.” (EA 263)

Is this true???? Can anyone comment?

I found the article. Maybe she was just trying to emphasize the importance of Mercury for Virgo. I don’t get what she really means.

I think the argument is that mercury is so close to the sun.

I don't know if that particular blurb relates to mercury in virgo specifically because she states it again in another section regarding mercury in general.
