My personal trainer was born within a month after me, so we didn't have too much to disagree about. I went for 3 months 2x a week. His Venus is in my 10th or 11th. We had fun like friends but he worked me like a professional. He lived vicariously through my dating life (Pluto in my 7th), we talked about hunting, frogs, shopping, his gf of 10 years (we were 25 then so that's a long relationship), other trainers future plans and secrets about the gym he was not supposed to share (he has a few planets in my 8th house).

I was given an option between 3 trainers. Pick out the trainer who has your intended workout style. Otherwise it's... frustrating. That's what I did and we got along so well, I didn't even look at the synastry

We definitely have some Martian action going on (comp NN conj Mars). We started out as me being her surgeon, then we became friends. Now she's gonna train me and I'm gonna do her 3rd surgery. I was hesitant to mix things in the beginning and we argued about that (she thought it's silly, I wanted to keep strong to my ethics especially maybe because I was attracted to her, even though I am mostly straight; at some point I thought it might be mutual but it's clear she's also straight so I let it slip from my head all the attraction thing, I don't think it's an issue now, or hope so.. who knows when I'll be all hot and sweaty.. Aries Mars here.. jk jk)

Is that bad, because of the friendship? I never want to mix things and it always happens.. -_- happened with my therapist too. But I hope to at least use the attraction thingie to boost myself, I can't let her see me like a wimp, now can I? Idk if it's mutual, it should be - her Mars in my 5th, my Mars in her 8th.. oooh. But nah, she's with someone.

The dad asked me to work with his kid @ the Libra New Moon. It was the longest relationship (one year, on-off) I had with a protege, but it was extremely unproductive at the same time. The little one rebelled against everything I suggested, and poo-pooed on my lesson plans - eventually I stopped caring about her development and was showing up for the money.

When I needed help developing my strengths I chose a Sagittarius New Moon. I had to fight to get this partnership going because this trainer was physically out of shape, but they had a store of knowledge I wanted access to, the price was right, and the schedule & location was a perfect fit. I still question their work ethic but I believe it's a net benefit.

So you've been on both sides of the coin. Cool! We have not started yet, probably won't until April, although she has been coaching me on an exercise routine she is planning to put me on. An Aries New Moon would be so awesome!!

It's not good or bad because of the friendship. I think it just brings multiple angles and variables to monitor on a regular basis. Hey, if you like complications and it works for you, go for it we all have an unique way of finding people. Me, I'm involved with my Mars-Saturn next door neighbor. Haha. So, no judgement here.

Yes you can use the attraction to your benefit. As long as it is constructive. If it starts interfering with your workout and/or progress, have a plan for it ahead of time. Don't do the Mars-Saturn infamous bolting/shutting down if it can be prevented

Those Mars overlays are hot! If it goes there, I expect fireworks! If it doesn't, you can still have platonic fun regardless. Hey, you're going to perform a surgery on her and your mars is in her 8th? A manifestation of the overlay right there!
