That is very true - and btw good book, very recommended - but I have seen teh 7th house in composite actually being about BOTH.

On the one hand about the relationships you have -as a couple- with the external world, but it alos reflects you as a couple itself.
It is puzzling. But maybe the reason for this is that actually composites are made of midpoints, and there is always a near and a far midpoint.
We are picking the near midpoint by default for casting a composite, but ther eis STILL the other midpoint, maybe a little less strong, but it is still there.
This *could* mean that instead of single houses or placements we are actually dealing with an axis. So it might just be a gradual difference if you deal with the 1st or the 7th house, maybe in some occasions they can even get flipped (because of the midpoint-axis), and the important thing is you are dealing with the relationship-axis.

It's possible that they couple would want other couples to share the same qualities. But I don't think that the 7th is necessarily what the couple lacks.
