Well, I've been extremely lacking in self-discipline for the better part of my life and now I have a slightly enlarged Spleen that is deficient and not working very well. I know that Saturn rules the Spleen and due to the fact that I am a Capricorn rising with moon in 10th house and a number 8 in numerology life path, I know Saturn plays a very big big role in my life. Saturn is also inconjunct both sun and moon..

So could Saturn be the reason I am having this issue and more importantly how do I fix it? How do I appease Saturn and do saturnine things? I know self-discipline is one but I don't know how to do that.

I have Saturn as my chart ruler unaspected too. I lack self discipline.

My life path number is also 8. Just wondering how is this related?

Inconjuncts can often show underlying cause of illness, I've gone into further depth on this in other threads on how the illness can manifest from the quincunx via unaddressed cognitive dissonance.

This site might be a bit wordy but I find that their interpretations on the quincunx/inconjunct aspect are excellent.

btw have you tried massaging your spleen? for some reason I do it a lot because it feels good, I didn't realize it was my spleen there on my left side but now that I realized that it makes sense. I always end up massaging that area and sometimes I just tap or slap areas of my belly (LoL) and solar plexus and the release of the pressure feels good.

""An enlarged spleen is capable of raising the left rib cage visibly, there is very little pain connected with it but fullness and pressure. A sluggish, congested spleen can add to mental instability, depression, and stupor. A congested spleen makes a yellow complexion, brown discoloration over the eyes, cheeks and around the mouth. It may effect the heartbeat and often people sigh a lot."

Louise Hay in her book Heal Your Body states that spleen issues are related to obsessions and being obsessed about things.

HEALING THE SPLEEN

In Chinese Medicine touch is key. The spleen apparently loves touch. So receiving touch in any way possible is good - hugs, massage, touching yourself, all these are ways to strengthen the spleen. The spleen also likes to stretch. Therefore anything that involves stretching is good, as is apparently learning to play again by crawling, rolling around and lying on the floor, especially the ground. Daily structure is good for the spleen - giving yourself time to ground and relax, this is not surprising when we understand that in Chinese Medicine the spleen is ruled by the earth element. This may be as simple as creating a daily space to drink tea, meditate, sit with a book, write in a journal, massage the body, anything which nourishes. It may also mean eating regular meals or keeping regular sleeping and waking times. Routine and structure create a constant, safe and dependable place in our lives, an external support for the Spleen. Creating a comfortable and safe home gives structure and support to the spleen as well. " http://healyourbody.livejournal.com/1018.html

Maybe, especially if you feel guilty about it. Mind and body are interconnected. There are plenty of articles about mental/spiritual reasons of various diseases.

I wonder if they can be cured by making changes on mental level.

Wow Arcturiannn...Those articles on the inconjunct with saturn are spot on...I hate it because Saturn is inconjunct both of them and yet both sun and moon are square each other So I have 3 different parts of me at war with each other. I suppose that's the Leo, Scorpio, and Capricorn elements in me fighting for power...So typical of them all. Not to mention Chiron is in opposition to Saturn. Discipline, limitation, and organization are literally all alien concepts to both my conscious self and subconscious self.

I'm almost certain now Saturn is the reason why this is happening. I'm just gonna have to man up and finally learn discipline.

I feel you on that. Life doesn't always feel so easy for saturnians, discipline isn't exactly all that fun, but once it becomes ingrained in you through effort it feels empowering to have control over yourself and your life. Things begin to fall into place once you learn what challenges you are here to complete and start addressing them. I used to be a very lazy, daydreamy type person, but i've been able to accomplish so much more than I would have thought capable of myself looking back on how I used to be. But it does get easier, that is one benefit to being cap asc or saturn dominant. Things just seem to get easier and smoother as life goes on, at least has been my experience after learning my lessons as a youth , struggle in youth and excel as time goes on, like a fine wine, or something, LOL.

I wonder what your chart looks like with that interesting configuration, im trying to visualize it with the scorpio and pisces inconjunct. Should post your chart if you feel comfortable to

I think Saturn wants you to be responsible, and when your not to go through more challenges. Until you kinda figure it out.
Taking responsible action, may also relieve so of the challenges you face...

Your in cypress, ca? we are really close to each other.

ohhhhhhhh, those arent quincunx/inconjuncts, those aspects are called sesquiquadrates.

Inconjuncts are usually shown by dashed green lines.
