A little? A lot? Example... I have Gemini moon, but in sag house. Or, Uranus is my only water planet but I have planets in water houses. I thought of this because my dad was sag and I'm very often told by many different family members that I'm just like him but Neptune is my only sag planet. Venus the only personal planet it aspects. Though Jupiter does aspect sun, Mars, and mercury. IP: Logged |

Oh no no... Next fall/winter I will have to go there for about a week I'm guessing, for work. We're getting 3 things from them worth about $1.5 million. not sure if I'm just doing one or all three but I just have to make sure it's acceptable before we take it. I know you didn't ask for all of that but you know.. lol IP: Logged |

Yes I wonder about that too. For all the 12th house planets I have, I don't think I have piscean traits or much neptune quality. IP: Logged |

The house will tell you where the energy is being used and the sign will tell you how the energy expresses itself. They're both very important. The next thing you would do is follow the bread crumbs to find out what planet has control of the house where all that energy is. The ruler of a stellium will be very powerful, obviously. Usually a circle will be created, ending at an outer planet that seems to just take over your chart because of it's power. My chart is largely influenced by Pluto because it's opposite the ruler of most planets in my chart. In short, the house will always manifest a planet's energy, so will the sign but houses are specific areas of your life which make them a bit easier to point out. 12 Muddy, I expect that you would feel like you have to sacrifice the planets and what houses they rule that sit in your 12th. That would be one way of determining the strength of the 12th House on the planets placed there. IP: Logged |

Yes, because different houses have different strengths and planets operate better and worse in some houses according to traditional astrology. Also, I think the house in some way is more important than the sign that the planet will fall in. This is because a house is the mundane energy it uses and signs are celestial or heavenly and as we all exist on Earth, the mundane is very important. For myself, I would my planets behave more like their mundane houses but then again, a lot of my planets fall in the corresponding house to the sign, except Sun and Mercury in Aqu but falling in 10th and behaving more like 10th house or Cap. Thanks so much for the repies and I do agree sct. So, I'm just going to keep this pretty basic and use my moon as an example though I'm just curious how exactly this whole thing works. Although I'm sure it's more complex and we need to look at house rulers and sign rulers like MsPrism said. So... Moon in Gemini in 9th. 9th is say.. Foreign places, travel, higher learning, expansion. Moon is emotions, the mother. Gemini is a thinking, communicative, busy, airy sign. So would that be like I communicate my emotions about foreign places, learning, my mother? That sort of thing? Because obviously I feel emotions in other areas, love especially though my moon does not aspect Venus in the 12th. Probably it gets more complicated than that which is cool. Even with that I think I'd like to know how to begin tackling that web. IP: Logged |

Yes, that is how you would look at your Moon with that much information. To add to it, you would then look at what house cusp begins in Cancer to figure out what House qualities your Moon brings to the 9th House. IP: Logged |

Moon in the 9th expressed in the love department is lofty, idealistic (not in a sappy Neptunian way, more in a courageous/adventurous way like traveling the world for love or the knight saving his princess type). ------------------ ~the raving one dancing in the nude~ IP: Logged |

In relation to the 9th house Moon, it's not "about" but "in". You'd be most emotional or emotionally invest in 9th house areas - spiritual matters, university or higher educational institutions, overseas and the foreign. You probably feel at home in these situations. The way you express your energy is in a Gemini way - verbally expressive, witty, somewhat objective.IP: Logged |

Then as MsPrism says, see which house is ruled by Moon and that would mean that that house energy is placed in the 9th. Being Libra AC, I'd say that either MC or 11th is ruled by Moon, which means that your Career or wishes has connections with the 9th - maybe you work in 9th house places or engage in 9th house matters for your work or your wishes in life concerns 9th house OR how your wishes are fulfilled can be achieved through the 9th house.IP: Logged |

House position seems to affect my planets. In my case I would say a lot, it certainly changed the energy of my whole chart.IP: Logged |

You're welcome! Unfortunately, it has been the case with people I know with 12th House planets. They indicate something that we usually do well, it's like when you aren't trying to shoot a basketball into the hoop, you just throw it and it makes it! This is what 12th House seems like for the people I know, they naturally sacrifice whatever is there to the world and feel good when people compliment them on their skills but somehow they just don't see them as all that special. It's really quite interesting. IP: Logged |

I'm also 9th House Moon. We da bestest! I definitely "feel" the effects of this House in what I'm passionate about. My Moon is in Cancer. Cancer is on the cusp of my 10th House. Sun in Aries, sits in the 7th. Aries on the cusp of my 7th. So folks - how would you sum me up?? I wanna see if this is accurate. IP: Logged |

Great point! As an Arian, I definitely don't feel like a clone of other Aries people I know. There are many similarities there...but just as many differences.

Mars in Taurus in the 9th house.I'm slightly obsessed with the occult I follow no religion (Mars doesn't like to be bossed around ). I'm quite pragmatic and practical about spirituality. Geography was one of my favorite school subjects. I like learning languages and about cultures. I hope to do some long-distance travelling in the future. I'd like to live abroad. I don't have a casual approach to sex, it's kind of sacred to me. ------------------ I'm sooo happy! I mean, cappy.

I think tremendously and to the point I almost always put most emphasis on the houses as opposed to sign. My Cancer stellium in 11H is pure Aquarius and it's taken me many years to come to terms with the fact that I am a bloody Aquarius and really really odd My Venus there especially and also because said Venus is sq Uranus itself.....I have tried to find justification for my relationship behavior many times when all I had to do was just accept the fact that I am the way I am. That's interesting. I have Aquarius moon in the 4th house (Cancer rules 4th as you probably already know!). I always thought I was more intuitive than psychic but when I REALLY focus on stuff I can usually put my finger on things about other people, situations, etc. Anyway back to the original question, yes I think the houses are pretty influential. It's interesting that the answer to this question is being revisited by me. With a different answer.I have Sun,Neptune,Uranus and Jupiter in 8th house.I behave much like a Scorpion than a Sagittarian.I've really started to accept this as true. I realized this after having a fight with my sister(a Taurus). I tend to bear grudges a lot and swear revenge. I am not an extroverted individual and tend to guard myself and be very secretive. Although, I must admit that maybe its also because today was by far the touchiest of days. Trans Moon in 1st house in stubborn Taurus. Trans moon opposition natal Pluto in Scorpio Trans Mars is squaring natal Moon Trans Mars is squaring natal Mercury Trans Mars is conjunct natal Mars Trans Uranus square natal Moon Trans Uranus square natal mercury Trans Uranus opposition natal Mars Trans Pluto opposition natal Moon Trans Pluto squaring natal Mars
But yes. Houses do play a role in influencing the individual IP: Logged |
