Do we go from South Node to North Node back to South Node or rather a combination of South Node and North Node?

What i've read is that during the evolution of a person and their NN/SN they swing from extremes of one end to the other, but that ultimately the purpose is to find a balance, as the end result should be an integration of both energies, rather than just focusing on the NN, the SN shouldn't be ignored either, as they are one in the same axis, but that most people end up obsessed with their NN/rahu, and then withdrawing from their SN/ketu.

It's a combination of south node and north node from what I experience but the overall mode is very present. Like a Cardinal sn/nn axis is going to be very pushy and action oriented and it will be obvious in the personality of the most reticent sun just because of where the nodes are.
Fixed nodes will mellow a person out, make them more stubborn and languid.
Mutable nodes will mean there is a restlessness, versatility and instability to the personality.

Like with Libra emphasis and fixed nodal axis, the action and urgency is mellowed out with a certain calm steadiness. You might not be as apt to act as the average Libran and can seem kinda languid and self assured.

So with Taurus SN and Scorpio NN, how would these two blend over time. They are so different.

With these two signs it's about control, indulgence, and possessions. You will find these themes prominent in your life. It's my possessions/indulgences versus their possessions and indulgences. You could find yourself feeling at odds with others over these matters, like too much is being taken from you. Other times, you could gain a lot from others.
Control is another motif. You either want to either be in control of others or they are in control of you. Both Scorpio and Taurus are possessive signs. So letting go could be challenging for anyone with nodal axis in these.

Any thoughts on Sag / Gemini as well would be appreciated.

These are mutable so it's going to be different of course, than two fixed signs. Much more changeable. This sn/nn is into having a good time, communication, exploring. Could be preachy or lecturing at times. Is optimistic yet logical and realistic about life as Gemini often is.
