I would look at afflictions coming from Neptune. We are finding out now that autoimmune disease is strongly associated to parasites. The body is deceived by foreign substance into thinking its own cells are foreign, hence attacking itself with its own cells. This points to Neptune and deception. This is my current theory based on a current investigation of health as related to parasites. IP: Logged |

Conjunction doesn't have the same strength as square and opposition. This could be an indicator but you would have to look at the theme of the chart and examine other placements. IP: Logged |

Well, it's good you have astrology to see yourself clearly. The old saying, "know thyself" is extremely important for sun-neptune affliction. IP: Logged |

6th house ruler in tense opposition to Neptune. It's probably got more to do with sixth house ruler than any aspect between sun and Neptune. Neptune would water down the sun's power so it's not always easy having an ego and personal sacrifice will be made. There can be longings and yearnings to be something other than what one is...for instance, if someone is alone they want to be married. Married, they want to be alone. If they are popular they want to be unpopular or vice versa. It indicates dissatisfaction with the self, since sun rules the concept of self along with the ascendant.IP: Logged |

I had this by transit - a tight opposition - when I came down with a mysterious illness that has still not been diagnosed. I've been thinking for a while it might be an autoimmune disorder. I have Sun contraparallel Neptune natally... it's actually the tightest aspect in my chart. IP: Logged |

My sixth house ruler is Neptune and I have no immune disorders of any kind and my immune system has always been stronger than average lol. Neptune is afflicted but I have lucky nn in Pisces sixth house, too. I guess someone can experience trouble with Neptune and sixth though. IP: Logged |

According to my new chart (recently discovered some birth info. that puts my time about 1.5 hours later), I have Neptune in the 6th. I have autoimmune and other chronic issues (Lyme Disease and Severe Depression). IP: Logged |

Hyperactive thyroid Myasthenia GravisNeptune only makes positive aspects Neptune rules DSC Neptune is central body in stellium 4th house (Sagittarius) ----- Hyperthyroidism - thyroid gland - ruled by Taurus, 2nd house, Venus Venus - unafflicted, 4th house (Sag) 2nd House - Libra Taurus 9th house, Moon residing, Chiron residing - (CNJ of appx 4 deg) Moon is bQ Neptune (0 deg) Myasthenia Gravis - thymus gland - ruled by Gemini, 3rd house, Mercury Mercury - minor affliction, SemiSQ with Saturn in the 3rd (Scorpio), wide-wide affliction (6 deg) SQ ASC-DSS axis - Mercury in 4th house (Capricorn), Mercury ruling ASC-MC & NN Gemini MC/NN - Chiron wide CNJ (5 deg) MC 3rd House = (Scorpio) Pluto-Mars 1st decan, 1st duad CNJ unafflicted (trine Mercury-Neptune). ruler of 1st/Virgo-10th/Gemini only widely (or lightly?) afflicted, ruler of 3rd/Scorpio unafflicted. ruler of 2nd/Libra-9th/Taurus unafflicted, ruler of 3rd(8th*Mars)/Scorpio unafficted. medical (or vedic) astrology normally looks for afflictions to the ruler of, or to the house that corresponds with, that part of the body. I think (maybe?) in horary or progressed reading you might discover more about an illness as it presents (if or when it may present)... but, it would seem natally Neptune isn't so potent at discovering it (at least not on its own). If I have time, I'll check tomorrow to see if my natal or progressed Neptune was showing anything unusual when my MG emerged. Something that would indicate revelation...? something that may indicate physical harm/weakness...? (iunno) I'll see if there's anything /unusual/ there... x.x Because I do have a love for using asterisms and star interpretation for transit forecasts and sometimes with natal prediction, I'll go over those as well. For instance my Neptune is not conventionally afflicted. But, if you would consider it, my stellium is lined up on several stars that are usually concerned with head and eye injuries. My MG presented first as unilateral drooping of the left eye. (However it progressed into bilateral, and then began to affect various muscle groups in the face, throat, torso... (my poor typing fingers!) lol Perhaps that's why the afflictions are more numerous where these stars are, and with Mercury more than Venus. Not that a thyroid illness is anything to scoff at, but it really isn't nearly so serious as the MG, and if I could free myself of just one, I'd live with the thyroid condition and get rid of the MG without any hesitation. It's a lot harder to live without a smile, than it is to live on a severely restrictive diet due to weight see-sawing. But, again - I will check your hypothesis about Neptune with my transits during the time it manifested/was diagnosed. And, even though it is /not/ considered autoimmune, I'll check my grandmother's chart as well, (she has fibromyalgia) - because I'm curious. My maternal grandmother had hypothyroidism; she was treated when young and has since taken medication (hormones). Something I don't do for mine, I did take a different medication though, not radioactive iodine, and no equally unattractive pig hormones. My TSH levels are -normal for me- now, what I'd taken was an extremely strong immunosuppressant. Something I would have to take for the MG anyway. I do not take steroids or any immunosuppressants for the MG now. I watch my diet, and regulate my activity, and try very hard to avoid things that trigger it to worsen (stress... stress is deadly bad for me). T_T My father had epilepsy in connection with a car accident (head injury) when he was about 13/14. The only peculiarity with my mother is her Rh factor~ but, that still seems irrelevant. (Although I did find a paper where the connection of MG and MS were studied against one another by medical researchers.) There's still very little known about MG... So, anyway, besides my two grandmothers, nobody else has any peculiar diseases in my family - which makes me that much more frustrated with my having two. bugger... IP: Logged |

I don't have the sun affliction (the moon, on the other hand), but the Sun is in the 6th house, as is two of the planets that conjunct Neptune... But I thought the 6th house means good health? Or is sun in the 6th about overcoming health? I'm super confused. IP: Logged |

I have an autoimmune disease and I have Neptune square Moon, oppose Saturn, conjunct Chiron, and conjunct the asteroid Sunshine. (I assume that would be important because the disease is triggered by sunlight.) I also have Neptune in the 6th house.IP: Logged |
