I have been looking at my relocation chart and I am finding that it seems to describe some important missing pieces of my life. If you moved a great distance, did your relocation chart reflect your new life? Would you go as far as to say that it was just as important as your natal chart?

I moved when I was 13.

One thing I have always noticed is the changes in my ascendant. I have natal Aries ascendant and Scorpio relocation ascendant. Before I moved, I always had a strong face to show the world. I considered the world a battlefield and I was fighting to win. When I moved, I learned certain concepts almost immediately:
1) hurting is not a weakness
2) without healing, there will always be upheaval within the heart.
3) the ego of Aries has no place in the underworld of Scorpio.

The changes started within a month after moving. I feel more like a Scorpio rising. But, to go from the strong Aries face I presented to the upheaval of Scorpio healing was a horrible experience. Much needed but just ugly for a 13 year old. You know how kids can be at that age even without extra drama

There are other variables at play as well. But, to assign them credit when they can be explained through natal wouldn't add up logically. I'd have to think further about them.

I've read mixed opinions about the relocation chart. From what I've read, relocation chart may affect parts of your life, circumstances, modify your attitude or the way you're perceived by others...

But I don't think it's as imporant as the natal chart. The natal charts show our essence, what we were born with.

I've read that RC shows the themes that you may encounter in a new place. It's quite true in my case. In one place, my RC shows that I have a stellium in the 11th house - my life at that time was hectic. Involved and active in social circles, groups...etc There were chances of being a part of some causes that were supposed to "change the world n make it better". Made friends who share my dreams n goals.

In another place, 7 of my planets spread across the 5th amd 6th house. I started to expand my ideas with those friends n we took risks trying to turn our ideas into reality. Lots of hard work.

I think a relocation chart can explain a lot about a persons's personality. After they move, they are under a different influence of energies unique to their new location.

Especially seen when a child relocates. I once looked at a youngster's chart, so close in time to their natal patterning, and i was just baffled because the chart did not match their personality at all. Then I realized they were born in a different state and the relocation chart gave a better description.

I think the relocation affects the personality more than the essence of a person. But this is just based on two case studies of personal experience. I have not done research on this.

And I'm referring to relocation, as in permanent living arrangement, not traveling, as on vacation.

relocation charts are total bupkis.

A natal chart is much better at telling you if you should move or not.
