I am not talking about a high school teacher, but maybe a professor at a university. What would show that a person has what it takes to achieve a position like this?IP: Logged |

I think Jupiter in 5th, especially related to Mercury, would make one a great teacher of children. For university teacher, I'd say Jupiter in 9th or ruler of the 9th house, with aspect to Mercury. IP: Logged |

A good lecturer? Probably someone with good analytical, communicative and presenting skills; Mercury, Gemini, Virgo combined with a certain theatrical presence (Leo or Aquarius perhaps). More so than a children's teacher, which I believe would ideally have some maternal or paternal qualities too. My mother was an infants school teacher (Cancer sun) and the kids first and foremost had a great sense of wellbeing and affection with her, aside from her being there to teach them stuff! I sometimes saw her in action and she was amazing. I've taught in the past too (music, Virgo sun/mercury, aqua moon) and although I've been told I'm a natural with kids I honestly think I lack the patience on a long term level to apply myself well as a teacher. I prefer to lead or inspire by example/action rather than instruction. My sister would make a better lecturer as she's not just highly intelligent but quite at ease in public speaking situations (Aquarius sun and more flowing aspects in her chart than mine). I found an online article once about common astrological aspects in the charts of great teachers but I can't remember where it is now... lol

I am a teacher (probably comparable to Highschool; though we also do the preparation for university for the 15-18 years old).I have Leo on the cusp of my 9th house, and Virgo intercepted in 9th house. Their rulers Sun and Mercury are exactly conjunct in Sagittarius in 1st house (on the Galactic Centre). IP: Logged |

I used to teach my native language online and I'll probably go back to it sooner or later. It's fun, especially when someone massacres it while trying to speak I've been also helping my sister's student with English recently because she temporarily can't. He's not too enthusiastic, he has a lot of issues and it goes slowly but I enjoy it too. I think I could teach something on a daily basis if I was good at it and had eager students.I have: Sagittarius Mercury a Sag IC trine Jupiter Jupiter in Leo in the 11th a Taurus 9th house with Mars Venus in the 5th opposite Jupiter Mars quincunx Mercury Sorry for this useless post ------------------ I'm sooo happy! I mean, cappy. IP: Logged |
