Hi, Ceri,

You associated the semisquare and sesquisquare with the lunar cycles.

Could you elaborate more?

How do you interpret them in synastry?

Thank you

I had been writing about them here.
http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum24/HTML/219137.html

I am not entirely sure how to interprete them synastrically to be honest.
And I would like to know. lol

Maybe they are like a little spark, instead of the big spark that the square is. However if coming together to form an aspect pattern with midpoints they seem to be rather strong. Like in the Fist of God or Hammer of Thor pattern (one square, two sesisquares).

I find it interesting, too,k that while Mr Sag´s Venus is shamefully unaspected by my planets, when it comes to major aspects, it is exactly semisquare my Jupiter, Neptune and NN.
Falling onto the exact midpoint of my Jupiter/Neptune, Jupiter/NN and Moon/Venus.

Actually the Moon/Venus is interesting on its own, as my Moon and Venus are novile.
Since he has a Venus-Juno-opposition natally, it means that my Moon and Venus are also in 9th harmonic aspect to his Juno.
So there is a 9th harmonic triangle of his Juno (and Venus) to my Moon and Venus, resulting in his Venus and Juno being both on the midpoint of my Moon/Venus, just on opposite ends.

Intriguing.Though how to interprete it?

Well, the 9th harmonic seems to have to do with "joy/pleasure with purpose" or something like that.

Anway I disgress, about the 8th harmonic. Probably it takes the creativity of the 3rd and 5th, the inspiration of the 7th, to pinch you into motion (8th) so you can reach the satisfaction that can be foun din the 9th. Maybe. But I am not sure.

Oh wow, and what I never even understood before,

if my Jupiter, Neptune, NN are semisquare his Venus
and
if his Venus opposes his Juno

then of course

his Juno sesisquares my Jupiter, Neptune, NN as well.

I only realized when making hte picture. lol

That is how it looks.

the red-orange one is the 8th harmonic pattern (sesisquare, semisquare, square, of course it means there is a Fist of God right there based in my Jupiter-Neptune/NN-square with his Juno at the apex, and his Venus opposing the apex - now I am fascinated. lol)

the violet one the 9th harmonic pattern, with my Moon-Venus-novile as basic aspect.
And the black line is the midpoint-axis that connects both patterns in my chart, and *coincidentally* his Venus-Juno-opposition overlaying it.

lol
have found I like to do visuals on certain aspect patterns with my paint program, first of all it is very meditative, and secondly the visuals are sometimes very clear.

Like here in this patern, it all seems to be pointing towards his Juno in his 5th and my 8th house. Something I wouldn`t have seen just looking at the numbers on astro.com
